What an awesome place to live! Very friendly staff who are always willing to help. Maintenance staff always greet residents with a smile. Very one is professional but genuine and down to earth. So many activities that our monthly calendar runs out of room to list them all. Convenient to shopping, health care, restaurants and grocery stores. Residents are very friendly and someone is always willing to help. This is our new neighborhood and we love it!

Read your lease, there are a lot of fees & add ons which you have no choices in choosing what cable company you want to watch & you do not mind sky high water bills because you pay through the apartment complex not the city water department plus other fees. Tell all your clients to carry extra rental insurance for sewer backup because I was not offered that & when ruined my nice furnishings I had no insurance to pay for it & at 73 years old I can not go back to work & but new furniture. Management did not have a clue as to how to clean up a sewer back up & just slapped a new piece of carpet on top. I tried to ask them to make sure that the foundation was cleaned, dried & new pad & carpet installed. You can not do those steps above in one day although I was told the carpet people were experts & per the manager "She was not". When they called me back that evening, the carpet was very damp. I went the next day to complain & asked for another apartment, I was told you asked for a new carpet (first they wanted to shampoo it), we gave you that & that is all we are going to do. This is closed. They have 2 daily rental apartments they rent to guests & I asked for one of those & was told they were rented out. They left me in my mold infested apartment for over six weeks. Before allowing me to move across the hall. Before I moved the manager took a week vacation & the next week was off property then it took a week to clean the apartment. When upper management found out & shared my statement with the manager the next week ( I said nothing that I hadn't told her to her face). She stated I insisted on staying there. I asked her where did she think I would stay for $150 a night, I do not have that money.

We had water damage during the freeze and they are working on the road going into the complex which has been challenging. I know these are not necessarily the community's fault, but does impact us. We also had a management change around December and sadly our new manager isn't as personable as the previous one. Having said all that, I am still so glad I am here! I love my apartment and I have made so many good friends! I would still highly recommend NorthStar because the positives still way outshine the negatives!

The facility is beautiful and apartments inviting. At first impression the residents are warm and inviting too. However, there is a culture of intolerance towards anyone that doesn’t fit their narrow mold. My friend moved here in hopes of finding friendships and community. All she found was condemnations and unkindness. The other residents told her how she must dress and talk and walk. They left her nasty notes on her door and shunned her. She had to break her lease and move for her own sanity. The management did nothing to protect her. Very disappointing.

5's on all counts! I love this place! People are super friendly, the place is beautiful, and you can be as active or inactive as you choose to be. I highly recommend it! There's quite a variety for apartment sizes. Mine is 1 bedroom and quite comfortable. I also saw an Amberlain property, and my apartment is much better arranged. The accommodations are good. It does cost a little more than I had planned, but it actually has been quite doable because of perks that are built in.

A Place for Mom has scored NorthStar Georgetown 8.7 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
