The staff at Sunrise of Sandy were very caring and treated everyone with dignity. They respected my mom’s wishes and preferences. The home environment was wonderful, and my mom loved their docile, friendly cat. They planned fun events for the residents to enjoy.
They are very attentive to my parents. They treat them like royalty. The staff is kind and very eager to please. It is always clean and smells good. The food is good it's not great. Sunday dinners has always been important to my mother and the staff is working on that issue of getting a good nice meal together for the family on sundays mom likes it to be a little fancy. They have lots of daily activities and they do need to engage them a little more to those. Mom loves anything with kids and music my kids play the grand piano they have. They have a full hair and nail salon here. And billards that my kids love as well. They keep fresh flowers around. It is so homey feeling and my dad is doing so much better mentally here. I would recommend this community to everyone.
Always room for improvement but they have been great so far! I went to the mother's day celebration and was surprised to see the facilities director, HR directors and other non kitchen staff working the brunch. They all knew all of the residents name and even gave them all gifts. They have been more accommodating than I would have expected and my mom loves it there. Tons of activities and they take her to all of her appointments which is a huge relief for me! Thanks to A Place for Mom for the recommendation.

A nursing home facility provides residence to at least two seniors who are not related by marriage or by blood to the administrator. This type of facility provides its occupants with around-the-clock care by registered nurses. A significant amount of occupants tend to be single women who have smaller social support groups, and almost fifty percent of nursing home residents are older than the age of 85. Many occupants of nursing homes are persons with behavioral troubles, which can consist of resisting assistance, verbal outbursts, or a tendency to wander. Types of care services and amenities offered at nursing homes can include friendly visitor programs, injections, intravenous or nutrition therapy, and patient and caregiver education.
