I think considering what assisted living and memory care are, it's a great place and the staff has been receptive to my feedback. I toured many other places and wouldn't move her based on my experience at the Ridge.

Have great memories with staff there, and the quality of care and concern they gave him..... Not sure I would have put him on hospice knowing he wouldn't really be treated for things. But learned. Also, there were a few staff that yes, I would cringe if I knew they were the ones on duty to watch him. And too, as with most care centers, many times it was short staffed. However, the staff I remember at the moment as being superior, were [name removed](her nickname, she watched him most morning shifts) he loved her, and the activities helper [name removed], he loved too, and oh my gosh he adored [name removed]!!! They were all very good with him. And seemed to understand his ways. There were others too, but these are high on list. Also, one thing that really bewildered me and was like hmmm Is that the facility itself The Ridge, never sent there condolences. (The hospice facility-Cannon, has several times tho) And honestly, I really liked them (Ridge admin), and I tried to tell myself, well I guess cuz he was a hospice patient. But honestly, in my opinion that was not nice, nor professional. Really. Becuase so many times we would go out in the main section and visit, and [name removed](admin intake) spoke with us many times and I liked her, and the receptionists up front.... So yeah, for sure they should change that, and definitely reach out to patients' families in the memory/dementia care side. A card would do. Honestly, that kinda hurt.... But I would recommend them

Despite the ratings, I would highly recommend The Ridge overall. Clean, Safe and top 3 facility in the area, the rankings are more indicative of staffing challenges, which are consistent with these types of facilities

My loved one moved out after a month. I never actually visited, so this was feedback from dad. We chose this facility because it was newer, felt more like a hotel than a medical setting, not as depressing (to be honest). Their communication was very good.

The move-in process was great, they were very attentive and helpful answering all of our questions and making the process easy. The staff has been wonderful. They are friendly and so sweet to my mom. I feel like the staff really gets to know her and tell me sweet stories about things that she says or does. They are very good at letting me know when something happens. The only hard thing about staff has been in the one year we've been there they have had three different memory care directors. The first two I got to know very well, but I don't know why they switched. The current one I've only talked to on the phone where is the other ones I knew well. The facility is always clean and bright and there's no weird smells. Her room is always very clean and organized. The food looks good and there's a variety of food. My mom loves all the treats and snacks during the afternoon. I can't say that I've ever tasted the food, but it looks good. I would definitely recommend this facility to others.

Overall it's a beautiful community with a vibrant events calendar and a diverse group of seniors. Staffing can be an issue but the Director is attentive and makes everything right in the end. We picked this community for the location, cleanliness, events calendar and the ability to change care need levels and memory care.

I would say it is a great community overall. Friendly and caring staff. I chose this community because they had a pet policy that allows my mom to have her cat, and her dog can visit.

The call button they give you to hang around your neck in case of emergency never worked. Each time I was there to visit my mom, I would press the button, and no on ever came. I had them test it. They confirmed it worked but didn't seem concerned that it was not being answered. They seemed very short-staffed, as are many places right now. We ended up moving our loved one to another facility.

I would highly recommend the Ridge Foothill to anyone looking for an assisted living or memory care facility. The leadership team, support staff, care team, and existing residents are second to none. It was a blessing for our family and my Mother in Law to be able to spend her time at the Ridge during a difficult time in her life. The love and compassionate support from the moment we met with them and toured the facility to the time she left were above and beyond.

My grandma was at “the ridge” and it was fantastic. The connections to the staff that were made there far out lived my grandma’s stay there. We truly felt like she was being cared for by an extension of our family. The facility was fantastic and it was always clean and pretty. I wouldn’t choose a different place for a loved one. Everything from amenities to the staff, it is all great at the ridge. My grandma was my best friend and we talked every single day. I never heard her complain and the staff always went above and beyond to help her with things.

Made a SURPRISE VISIT to see my dad in the memory unit. His room and bathroom were filthy. The smell of urine. The food in dining room was good. Not the case in memory unit! Needs improvement for the $$$$ it costs.

We chose The Ridge because of the location and there were some people who we knew were here. The price was also right. They were very responsive to our needs when she was here. The room sizes were adequate for her needs, she had a studio. I would absolutely recommend to others looking.

Response from The Ridge Foothill Senior Living
September 14, 2019Thank you so much for the five-star review, Glenn! The search for a retirement community can be challenging and it was an honor to make it as smooth as possible for you and your loved ones. We’re absolutely thrilled to have Birgitt as one of the newest members of the Ridge Foothill family.
Excellent facility and I can see moving my mom here. As we finalize plans to move to Utah in 2019 we will be in touch and hope to find an available room. Very new, spacious rooms and amenities galore. Convenient location when coming from Summit County.

Response from The Ridge Foothill Senior Living
September 24, 2018We’re thrilled you enjoyed touring our community and are certain your mother would love it just as much. We can’t wait to show her around when the time comes. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to us for tips, recommendations or assistance with her move or any other aspects of retirement planning. Thank you so much for the great review!
Don't bother. The beautiful lobby and rooms are the ONLY good thing. The people don't care about your loved one and only look to cover themselves. They never did a care plan - even when I pointed out we hadn't done one. Any request gets a defensive reaction and "that's not what we do here." They make no apologies from mishandling meds to simple maintenance to their supposed housekeeping and no attempt to help or find an alternate solution. Dinner service is appalling - taking over an hour to get through a meal because they are so slow to take an order (can take 20 minutes before a server recognizes a new table), forgetting drinks and don't imagine you will get your small glass refilled even with water, another 20 minutes or more to serve it (usually wrong or forgetting something) and then no follow up. Last night my mom spilled a full glass of water on the table and no one came to clean it up while we sat trying to use non-absorbent napkins so we just covered it and tried to carry on a conversation for another 30 minutes and absolutely no care from the staff. We will be moving mom as soon as we can find a new place.

The staff at the Ridge were so friendly and helpful when I was in immediate need of moving my mom from one facility to another. They went above and beyond to make our transition easy and to make my mom feel welcome and cared for. Not only did they take great care of her, but they regularly checked in with me and my family to make sure that we were satisfied. They have great activities for their residents and the facility is beautiful. And their rates are very reasonable. The Ridge is an outstanding facility.

The staff at the Ridge went above and beyond to welcome my mom to their facility. What could have been a very tough transition from another facility, turned out to be one of the easiest. Their facility is beautiful and they do everything they can to make your loved ones feel at home. They also take the time to check in with the family to make sure that everything is being taken care of and that they are providing the best possible service.
