My mother has few and loose teeth so she cannot chew many of the meals provided. But the food is always yummy. There always seems to be something offered. I am very grateful that my mother can live at Ivybrook. Her social security covers almost one-third of the expense and I must come up with the rest. It's all I can afford. When our loved one was moving into the community they had a big welcoming sign and the staff came up to our loved one and other residents and was introducing themselves which we thought it was really nice and appreciated that. Everyone there is just so welcoming and the staff really did seem excited to have him there. He really likes the meals and says how tasty they always are. They give the residents an activities schedule to see all the different things going on, and he really does enjoy socializing.

I came in looking for a place for my dad. Somewhere that he would be happy and the family knew he would be safe when we couldn’t be with him. [Name removed] has been fabulous giving me a tour and telling me about all of the activities and help available.

March 15, 2024Hi Royann, thank you for taking the time to leave us this review.
We visited Truewood in Taylorsville and I was pleasantly surprised. This is such a hard thing to do, to put a loved one in the care of someone else, but i will say that as we toured I felt that the staff there genuinely cared for their residents. As the marketing director took us around he was able to not only answer our questions but reassure us of an of our concerns! We will definitely keep in touch!

March 15, 2024Hi Amelia, thank you for taking the time to leave us this review.
What an amazing place. The wonderful smells from the eating area were so inviting when I arrived. [name removed]- my Community Relations Director took the time and gave me a great tour, even though I didn’t have a scheduled appointment. He knew the members by name and everyone was very upbeat and happy. He went above and beyond to get our loved one taken care of. We are looking forward to having our family member in this very clean, friendly and positive community.

March 15, 2024Hi There, thank you for taking the time to leave us this review.
The staff and management have been so wonderful and accommodating. Truewood gave my mom everything she wanted to keep her independence and more. She has a beautiful view of an expansive backyard and feels comfortable and safe. People are friendly and welcoming and so are the dogs. This place was a godsend. My mom will have a better quality of life and an abundance of opportunities to be social and active!

March 15, 2024Hi There, thank you for taking the time to leave us this review.
I chose this community because when my Grandma first walked in, she lit up. I knew this place would make her the happiest compared to other places we toured. Every time you walk in, everyone is extremely friendly. I have yet to see any negativity from the staff. The woman who gave me the tour was very energetic and knowledgeable. They show that they really care about what they do. All the staff treats my Grandma very well and they’re always around if she needs help. I have nothing bad to say at all about this facility. The food is absolutely perfect. The kitchen is open from 7 AM to 7 PM. I really like that because my Grandma wakes up at 10 AM and she never has to worry about missing breakfast. She will always have a hot breakfast. They serve 3 meals a day with snacks in between. The facility itself is very clean. I absolutely love their courtyard too, it makes it feel homey. There’s a lot of grass with a garden and it’s perfect for the elderly people. The facility also has a lot of activities like board games, annual BBQ’s, car shows in the summer, movie nights, and church mass. I would recommend this community.

March 15, 2024Hi There, thank you for taking the time to leave us this review.
This was a very nice community very clean and well maintained. We had visited some of the staff and the residents and everyone seemed very happy and nice. The residents that we met seemed to enjoy living here. The community offered more care than what dad was needing at this point so we didn't feel it would have been the right choice for him.

I visited this home recently comparing local rates for my father. The location itself is decent but the building seems to me like it could use some upgrades. I talked to the front desk very briefly (a woman. I can't recall her name) and couldn't help but feel like she was new or had better things to be doing rather then speaking with me. She asked a young woman walking by/ marketer person there if she could better assist me with my questions (light skinned woman. Shorter hair and a Tattoo but Again I can't recall her name) whom offered to see about getting me and my father a tour of the facility. I declined and just asked about their rates which seemed reasonable compared to other establishments I visited in the city. I felt the customer service however lacked from a couple employees who I tried to get information from and a little unprofessional from the sales marketer[Removed]. The relationship between the patrons and staff did however seem rather tightly knit so I may have just come in on a off day. I also did like that they offered dining style meals like at a restaurant. I think the facility may be worth checking into but through my experience there and needs I chose to move along towards a different option.

I toured this facility looking for a place for dad. The staff was warm and welcoming. I got random smiles as I went through the building from staff and residents. And they even had bingo going! Was very impressed overall. Would encourage anyone to take a tour. You'll love it :)

We moved my mother into Golden Living one month ago and have been very pleased. The staff have been very caring, compassionate and friendly. The residents seem happy to be there. The facility is clean and well cared for and has a light and open atmosphere. My mother usually complains about substandard cleaning and food but has not complained since she has been here and actually says most of the food is really good. If the residents don't like what is on the menu they have many other options, including breakfast that is served all day. They do three loads of laundry a week, which has been very helpful. I have witnessed many instances where the staff has gone out of their way to help mom adjust to her new environment. We have found this to be a very affordable place for mom to live. It was a great decision to move her into Golden Living.
