Park Vista Retirement Living in Camanche, IA
4.0 / 5.0

Since mom still pretty independent she is getting along great. They have been real nice. They helped her a little more at the assisted living so she was a little spoiled. Food is good. Clean They don't have my ch control but definitely could use a couple more aids, and maybe a kitchen helper. I would definitely recommend.

I would recommend this location. Also when I take mom out for lunch, I call ahead and they have her ready and at the door....coat and all. I picked this community because of the price followed by size and staff. Location is good.

Complete guide to nursing homes

East Moline, Illinois

Nursing Homes

A nursing home offers residence to two or more persons who are not related by marriage or by blood to the administrator. A nursing home community offers its inhabitants around-the-clock care administered by registered nurses. These caregivers offer specialized care for seniors who are unable to properly care for their needs due to their aging.

This type of community is a familiar and comfy care choice for individuals 65 years and above, however nursing homes will take in individuals 55 and older which is for other senior care types. The most common mental disease experienced by nursing home residents is dementia, which can hinder their memory function, and familiarity, and decision making abilities. Nursing homes are required to provide emergency dental services, routine personal hygiene items, specialized rehabilitative services (treatment for mental illness or intellectual disability), and nursing and related services to residents. Types of amenities and services offered at nursing homes might include care coordination and case management, adult day health care (which offers nursing and therapy) , meal programs, and skilled nursing or medical care. A large number of nursing home inhabitants are seniors who require assistance with daily tasks such as getting dressed, experience difficulty seeing and hearing, have mental or physical disabilities, or have incontinence issues. As a resident of a nursing home, you can expect the right to get proper medical care, spend time with visitors, form or participate in resident groups, and be free from abuse and neglect.
