Mom was admitted to The Waterford at Park Falls Wisconsin last September. So far mom and her family are satisfied with her care. There were a couple of issues. But the issues were resolved quickly. It seems the staff is always smiling. The staff truly seem to enjoy their work. We would recommend The Waterford to others.
Recently my mother passed away. Her time at Heatherwood was only 4 months. During her stay her care was exceptional. The staff went over and above in her care. The management were so easy to work with. They made us all feel "at home." Would definitely recommend.
We chose Brentwood because it did not feel institutional at all like a couple of other facilities we looked into. The room sizes at the facility are appropriate. The food service is definitely a big draw, they have very good meals provided that are prepared on site by a chef. I would definitely recommend Brentwood Communities to others looking.

Many seniors may be able to live without assistance, but the burden of home ownership might be a deterrent to living an independent life. Independent Living Communities provide a good remedy. You or your loved one may use their free time as they see fit while their food is prepared by a professionall chef, housekeeping and laundry duties are taken care of by staff, and recreational activities are organized and scheduled. Along with their daily needs being met, residents can enjoy an opportunity to be among peers, surrounded by others of similar age groups and interests. Typically consisting of a private living area and a full kitchen, these communities offer homes with many of the amenities of apartment life but without the hassle. Guests can be invited over and entertained, and more time can be spent with them with the basic maintenance of daily chores out of the way. While policies differ between communities, a number of residences allow pets as well. If medical or nursing support is desired, residents may always utilize the services of independent care providers. There are a number of advantages and costs to balance while deciding on an independent living community. It is important to learn if these services are included in the plan: private phone, initial assessment fee, transportation, parking, laundry, wellness program, internet access, and Waiting list deposit. The conveniences associated with independent living include restaurant-style dining hall, private rental hall, laundry service, fitness center & swimming pool, concierge services, healthcare center, beauty salon & barber shop, and security guards.
