They sold us a bill of goods about the place. My uncle called it bait and switch. Delicious food, a handicap-accessible van to take residents to appointments, great care, plentiful caring staff, we were told. That has not been our experience. It began as Wissota Place, which went belly up, and then Lakehouse bought it,. There was an enormous staff turnover and worker shortages, all of which was very stressful for my uncle.

Truly when I needed a place for mom, this place was a blessing! All the staff is attentive and caring. It is difficult when your parent needs help but, I can rest at night knowing someone is there at a push of a button with a smile and helping hands. Thank you so much for helping us.

This was nice. We would have signed up if they had accepted Lewy Body Dementia.
We picked this community, because it was smaller, they had medication distribution available, my loved one coulld have her dog there, the apartments are a perfect size, the staff is attentive and caring.

We chose Wissota Place because of the quality of care for the price. It has a very country home feel to it. I live out in the country and this is the closest facility we could find. It feels like one big family. When my dad needs something, they immediately let me know and have been great with communication. I would recommend them to others looking.

I think it is a good welcoming place to live. The Activity Calendar is misleading, not all the things on there actual happen. The food is okay. The room sizes were good. They have an outdoor space for residents. The staff is friendly.

The facility and staff are the very best. The care they are giving to my 98 year old mother is beyond compare. The staff has been absolutely remarkable in the kindness and detail on the care. The facility itself is brightly lit, well decorated and laid out very well. The tunnel to St. Joseph's hospital is a wonderful benefit when my mother needs to go for any exams or treatments. Not having to pack up and go in the cold and rain is a huge advantage. The nurses on staff are very kind and considerate and very well trained. The food is excellent with nice variety. I wholeheartedly recommend Wissota Place. Our entire family could not be more pleased.

I can not say enough good things about Wissota Place! We toured several assisted living facilities and as nice as they all were they all paled in comparison. The Director [name removed] is right on top of things and runs the place like a well oiled machine. She has been extremely helpful and involved through every step of this process and continues to be ever since my mother has been living there. My mother absolutely loves the facility, the staff, her fellow residents, and just the overall hominess of this place. She's talked about how clean and friendly everyone is and how busy they keep the residents. The facility is modern, updated, cozy, and beautiful. The care they show the residents is wonderful. I asked a few of them we met during our tour what they thought of it and every one of them said they loved it and had nothing but positives to say about it. We couldn't be happier or feel more comfortable knowing my mother is in the best hands she could be in. I and my family highly recommend it!

We have been very happy with the care of our mother. She has been a resident for 14 years. The staff has gone above and beyond to help her and has continually met all of our requests. She is currently under the care of hospice. Again, the staff has been wonderful in the most difficult of times. They are compassionate, calm, and caring. I would highly recommend Wissota Place to meet the care needs of your loved one.

Do NOT live here!! The staff is poorly trained, has high turnover, does not follow through, and they do not provide the care that they claim! Any complaints to the management fall on deaf ears, and they don't change the processes or improve the care. Management is very good at the "smile and nod" way of dealing with issues. They cut corners and try to find the easy way out of everything. Their cleaning is half-hearted at best, and it's not uncommon to find soiled areas in the resident's room. Heaven forbid you have any type of medical issue - don't expect them to deal with it! Oh, they will say they do, but it will NOT happen!! All they want is your money because it's private-pay, and they do very little to deserve it. Please do NOT let your loved ones live here - they deserve better!!

This was a very nice place. The sun room with all the plants is a great idea so you can feel like it is a nice day even in the winter time. There are some great gathering spots throughout the place like by the fireplace in the entrance. Everyone seemed very happy to have their home there.

The facility is beautiful and very comfortable. The staff is always friendly and keeps our family well informed. They take care of everything--meals, housekeeping, laundry, medications, etc. They provide numerous activities and outings for the residents to choose from. My mother loves being pampered there after never wanting to leave her home. She enjoys the company of the residents, as well as the staff. It is a comfort to our family knowing that she's being so well taken care of.

Mom has been living at Wissota Place Senior Living for about 2 months now and loves it. Rooms are spacious and the facility is very clean and modern. Staff are so considerate, kind and always willing to help. It is so nice to know that there is always someone to help Mom with any questions or concerns that she or our family may have. [Removed] does a wonderful job with the activities. The meals are very good. They clean Mom's room, do her laundry and manage her medications. So glad we have such a nice facility in our area. I would recommend to anyone that is looking for senior living.
