Oak Gardens Place

Due to expense and unhealthy conditions at another assisted living, we were in a position to find a homey, caring and clean environment where one feels accepted as well as knowing your loved one is safe. On [date removed] Oak Gardens became [name removed] new home. On that day and forward we both have been assured his needs will be taken seriously. Everyone is very friendly and accommodating to all requests and this gives one a good sense of peace about our decision of choosing Oak Gardens Place as his new residence. The outside of the building is very inviting with flowers, shrubs and a lovely patio in the back which has woods as a backdrop. The living rooms on both floors are open, comfortable especially on the second floor with tables for games, puzzles or crafts. There are computers, small library fireplace and comfortable chairs. The most winning thing about Oak Gardens is the cost is much more affordable than many of the places we had looked at in the past as well.

Value. Better pricing. Smaller facility But that's fine because my brother tends to keep to himself anyway so no need for a larger facility with more people as far as he is concerned.

I needed help finding an Assisted Living place for a friend of mine quickly. I signed up with A Place For Mom on a Saturday and had a showing scheduled on Monday. We were met at the front and welcomed in by [name removed]. [name removed] was so great with us ! We had a meeting with [name removed] for to make sure my friend was a good fit. He was and was able to move on right away. [name removed], [name removed] and [name removed] are wonderful! Weeks later they are still wonderful. All the staff are very friendly and assist when asked. I don't have to worry, he is well taken care of.

The friendliness of the staff members there gets a 5+. I would highly recommend Oak Gardens Place. The smaller community of residents made our mother feel at ease and safe. The staff genuinely care about their residents. Communication was great with us (the family).

My elderly sister,[name removed], broke her hip in late 2022. [name removed] was released from the Hospital around the first of January, 2023. Nurses from Sacred Heart Home Health were assigned to help her recover at home. The nurses and I quickly found out she was no longer capable to live at home alone. One of the Health Care Nurses, [name removed], agreed and suggested transferring her to a Assisted Care Senior Center, called Oak Gardens Place in Altoona, Wisconsin, to help her recover. To coin a phrase, it was what the doctor ordered. Initially she was upset she could not live at home alone but within the first couple weeks realized she needed help and accepted the care she was being given. Starting with the Director [name removed], I and my sister [name removed] cannot begin to thank the administration, nurses, and staff for the positive assistance she received. I and my sister highly recommend Oak Gardens Place for your senior love ones. They will get the care they deserve.

This was a nice, clean facility. It was on the small side and felt very homey. The cost may be too high but this was one of my moms favorite places that we toured.

My patents stayed at Oak Gardens some years ago before my dad passed and my mom returned home. My mom liked it there as did our entire family, with its beautiful decor, warmth of staff and delicious food. We were close to moving my mom back in until her Alzheimer's worsened, and I touched base frequently with [name removed] who was wonderful and responsive, and very professional. I would highly recommend Oak Gardens to others.

My dad feels very much at home here. Your employees show respect for Dad, watch out for his interests and care for his needs. The many activities keep Dad's interest and he is reminded to attend activities if he is not present there at their start.

Wonderful! Oak Gardens is a beautiful place to live. The only thing better than the physical building is the friendly staff. I feel very lucky to have my father living at Oak Gardens

Everyone feels welcome and cared for.

Oak Gardens feels like home. The people are kind, genuine, and caring. My dad is well taken care of here and feels very comfortable. I like the coziness of Oak Gardens and the size. My dad would have felt lost in a bigger place!

This was a nice place. We felt it was a little cramped for space for the residents. The entrance was used for residents who wanted to watch tv. There didn't seem to be much space for residents to gather People seemed very happy as we toured.

We moved our Aunt to her new home here last August. She sadly passed away a few weeks ago; however, we want to share how this truly became her "home" and how she loved all the residents and staff. We all loved the residents and staff. It's a family we will miss seeing each day. Their goal is to make all residents truly feel at home and provide activities so they don't just sit in their apartment all day. The staff care about each and every resident. As for the grounds, all clean, well kept, and man they know how to decorate for each season and reason. Kudos to all and thank you again for taking such good care of our [name removed]. My aunt received kind, compassionate, skilled care at Oak Gardens. She had excellent meals, many activities to choose from, and was clean and safe. The staff was always attentive, ready to listen, and lend a hand as needed. Oak Gardens is very welcoming to visitors and family members as well. The facility and parking are up to date, warm, and welcoming.

This is a very nice community, and I'am pleased with my move here. The community is well maintained, and they do a good job with the cleanliness. Everyone has been welcoming, and helpful. I have already recommended this community to my friends. It is a great facility.

Seemed like a great place. [Removed] was a plus.
