We all love the staff. The food is good, serving 3 square meals a day, Every Day. I would most definitely recommend this facility to others.
My sister has lived at Forest Hills in the Health Care Center for a while. Before the pandemic, they had wonderful activities as well as great nursing care. In the pandemic they have done an incredible job to keep everyone safe, to figure out ways to have safe activities and/or virtual or safe visitation zones (following CDC guidelines). The staff is working under challenging circumstances and they continue to be kind, patient and deliver high quality care. We are so very grateful my sister can live in such a great facility.
Victory Terrace Senior Apartments have been a wonderful experience so far for my mom. The staff is friendly and helpful. It is a beautiful community with well-kept landscaping in a breathtaking neighborhood. My mom is an active 84 and this lifestyle suits her well. She still enjoys making her own meals. There is an abundance of activities that my mom enjoys participating in, giving her the opportunity to socialize and make new friends. She loves Movie Night every Saturday night, she enjoys getting her hair done weekly, and she takes advantage of the three exercise classes offered per week, all of which are tailored to seniors. They have a visiting podiatrist, a therapy room and a library for the residents to utilize. My mom still has her own car, but they also offer transportation for the residents to go shopping and other outside excursions. I would highly recommend this community to friends and family.

Planning ahead can better position you to make good choices for your loved one’s care in the future. But if your aging family member needs care now, there are ways to finance the cost of long-term care through a combination of approaches.
Independent living offers a stress-free lifestyle for older adults. Independent living communities don’t provide personal care or supervision, but do offer generally healthy adults opportunities for socialization and hassle-free living. Independent living services often include:
Many seniors may be physically and mentally capable of living without assistance, but the financial burden of home ownership and the maintenance of daily tasks and chores might deter them from enjoying an otherwise independent lifestyle. Independent Living Communities provide a good remedy. Frequent needs such as the scheduling of social activities and housekeeping are accounted for, which permits residents more opportunities to live active lives as they see fit. Along with their daily needs being met, residents can enjoy an opportunity to live among peers, in a community with others of similar ages and interests. Typically consisting of a private living area and a full kitchen, these communities offer homes with many of the amenities of apartment life but without the hassle. Guests can be invited over and entertained, and more time can be spent with them with the basic maintenance of daily chores out of the way. While policies differ between locations, a number of residences allow cats and dogs as well. If residents decide they would like to enlist the services of independent medical providers, they may always do so. There are a number of benefits and costs to keep in mind when determining an independent living community. It is important to determine if these amenities are included in your service plan: Waiting list deposit, parking, wellness program, housekeeping, cable TV, move-in fee, internet access, and private phone. The amenities associated with independent living include restaurant-style dining hall, game/TV room, security guards, healthcare center, concierge services, community activities, fitness center & swimming pool, and laundry service.
