Above & Beyond Inc. in Allentown, PA
3.7

The community was pretty clean and the staff was mostly friendly. The activities could have used some improvement. The food could have also used some quality improvement. We did feel that Above & Beyond Inc. was a good value for the price.

The Chandler Estate Inc. in Pen Argyl, PA
5.0

I love in one of their cottages, so my review pertains especially to those, but I overall I'm very pleased with The Chandler Estate. The building is well insulated, well maintained, and clean. I like the layout, and it also has a well equipped kitchen (although there is no dishwasher). In terms of the community in general, the staff are pleasant and friendly. I was particularly impressed with the food in the dining room, but I don't eat there often.

The independence of apartment life is still enjoyed, offering an opportunity to socialize with guests and visitors in a private and personal setting. While policies vary between communities, many residences allow pets as well. If residents decide they would like to enlist the services of independent medical professionalls, they may always do so. There are a variety of expenses and benefits to consider when choosing an independent living community.
