We took a tour of Grace Park Seniors Living Well during our search for an Assisted Living facility for our loved one. This facility was very nice! It was very nice and clean. However, they only had single rooms and they were too small.
It's local. It's a wonderful place and very nice and beautifully decorated. He hasn't had any complaints so far. He is doing ok.

The facility is very nice. I thought it was one of the best in the area and was less institutional feeling than some others. The rooms here are smaller and it was more money.
This is a good community. The atmosphere and people are amazing. The rooms are nice. It wasn't for my loved one, as the community wasn't equipped to care for my loved one. They have a park like setting.
When my mother-in-law moved out of grace park we were already hearing from her new residence about her laugh being contagious and she participated in her first art project, when I noticed a controlled substance filled and delivered to grace park in my mother-in-law's name - 12 days AFTER she moved away. I alerted the pharmacy and they were shocked to learn that grace park never told them she was discharged, as is procedure to do the day the individual moves out. The pharmacy questioned grace park and apparently grace park said they were going to give the controlled substance to my mother-in-law! The pharmacy replied she moved out 12 days ago and the pharmacy says they didn't get a good answer from grace park so they rightly got the prescription back from grace park. I questioned the management team about this later and received a different (but still not a good) answer from the owner of grace park, so I filed a complaint against grace park with the Drug Enforcement Agency. So at least the DEA has grace park of Stroudsburg PA on their radar. This unfortunately was a typical interaction with grace park management team. The aides are wonderful though.

It was quite distressing when I visited one of my favorite people on the planet at grace park and she told me she had a suicide plan because of the many stresses of her situation there, and she listed 6 specific reasons for her angst in her grace park environment. We as her family calmed her down. It was on a Wednesday in [date removed] when I relayed to grace park Wellness that she had such anxiety she said she was going to jump out her window. That statement in my email was never addressed by Grace Park’s management team. After I conveyed a variety of concerns regarding our loved one’s behavior and her safety to a different director at grace park, including a few of the reasons why our loved one mentioned she had a plan to jump out her window as well as encouraging some communication from Grace Park, it was on a Monday in [date removed] that I received a reply email that Grace Park “will address [the concerns] accordingly so that we are all on the same page with [our loved one’s] stay.” Grace Park’s management team never addressed those concerns with us about our loved one’s safety and we’re still not on the same page. It was on a Sunday in [date removed] that I sent an email with yet other issues to Grace Park’s management team and included the statement that one of their recent actions “looks like a HIPAA violation.” Grace Park’s management team responded in 2 hours. Not to explain their actions in writing but to set up a meeting. This is the grace park I’ve come to know. Addressing the concerns with us regarding the safety of our loved one was not a priority. Attempts to dispel a claim that they committed a HIPAA violation was a priority. I expected the grace park that is portrayed on their website and in commercials and the show they put on during the annual picnic. The reality of our experience and interactions with them is far, far different. I thought combating our loved one’s difficulties in between her psychotherapy sessions like when she wants to move away from her environment due to a paranoid delusion that someone is mad at her would be the only battle we’d be facing, but when grace park started choosing conflict over cooperation – battling them also is a bit much. In late 2019 after grace park sent us more sensitive information, this time about another resident, I went through with filing the HIPAA complaint against grace park senior living of Stroudsburg, PA.

We've been at Grace Park for 8 months now. We chose GP after visiting 6 other facilities in the areas. Staff if very involved. Medical, administrative, PT, activities. All very genuine. Any residence issue we have brought up has been dealt with quickly without issue. The food is good and the table wait staff very friendly. Staff checks in on Mom every couple of hours and encourages her to participate in events. The communications between care manager, billing, and the family is seamless. Very pleased with that. There are trips out of the facility to shop, dine, and even gamble if you choose. The facility is very well decorated; clean, bright rooms, accessible furniture in common areas. Cost is about the market average for the area but you are getting more for your money. We are very pleased with Grace thus far. Only drawback, this is a for-profit facility, so it becomes an issue if resources dwindle to rely on Medicaid.

A Place for Mom has scored Grace Park Seniors Living Well 8 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
