While there are plenty of paid staff, at Brightwater, to take care of your needs, what is unique and very meaningful, to newcomers, is the Resident Personal Mentoring Program. Your personal resident mentor introduces you to your new “family”. They have dinner with you. They may accompany you to social events or just “walk with you” as you begin to make your way through the next phase in your life. Your personal mentor is not paid to be nice to you, but chooses to help us newbies find our way around physically and emotionally. Brightwater walks the talk!
We are thrilled with how well we are being taken care of during these difficult times! We are fed door to door, brought groceries we have ordered and prescriptions door to door, given daily fun tasks and exercises on our closed circuit TV and shown daily happy faces by our attending associates. We have been provided visitor's kiosks to share family time in a safe mode with a window separation and wireless phone connections. We have a Make a Wish, program, a cute Village Market with all the trimmings located in our Commons Bldg.,a command center for immediate answers to our needs, and transportation provided for all medical appointment if necessary. We are so pleased to be a part of this happy family!
Overall we have been very pleased with the Arbor Landing and the value for the money. They do have a number of activities for the residents there, our loved one enjoyed the recent concert they had. They have a beautiful dining room but right now the food is just not the best but they are working on making those adjustments. Based on our experience we would recommend this community to other families.
