My mom unfortunately passed away but we all loved River Park. The absolute best place. All the residents seemed to love it there and the staff were incredible.

It is a very personalized place! And probably one of the better places too! Many people from out of town including my sisters can't get over how nice it is and how all the staff is pleasant and knows Dad. And absolutely we would recommend to others.

We are not unhappy with River Park. It is a beautiful mid-level facility. Staff are pleasant and accommodating. However, in terms of some services, our expectations have not been fully met, but we are willing to live with them. We suggest families need to know what they want, can and cannot accept, that they are observant and not afraid to ask questions when they tour. In fact, we advise multiple visits. Even with this, once a resident, they may still experience issues or surprises once they've moved in. The important thing is to assess how critical the matter is to them and certainly not hesitate to speak with management about those concerns that do matter.

We picked this community, because of the warmth of the environment and staff. We had several good choices, but the building is more my mom's style and was on sale at the time. It doesn't feel like a hotel. My mom has had a very positive experience. The residents and staff are very nice and she has found a group of friends to sit with/have dinner with, etc... She enjoys the activities very much. The staff works together to ensure the residents have a positive experience. They had a prom, holiday meals w extended family/friends invited. They are thoughtful and also plan for events. The residents and guests had so much fun at the prom. They had an outing beforehand to a consignment shop for people to get fancy dresses. It was wonderful.

We have been very pleased with this community so far and we have had prior experience to compare it to. We like the fact that this community is smaller so the staff members are able to give our loved ones and the other residents more personalized attention . Our family also gets more personalized communication with the residents care director. With the community being a little smaller they may not have as many activities as the bigger communities but we care more about the quality care the residents receive. The meals on the independent living side were excellent, but on the assisted living side they are a little bit more bland but we do understand they have to do that.

It's beautiful and the rooms are larger than the other facilities in the area. My loved one would love it if the provided transportation to an actual Church on Sundays. Their food is really good and the support staff is amazing. It's brand new and very beautiful. All the residents are so nice. The location is close to shopping, grocery, and wonderful restaurants. They have fun outing for the residents as well as theme parties and activities. The community is well organized and accommodating. We visited at least 6 different communities before deciding on River Park. River Park was a great cost because their rooms are larger for less money than most of the other places and they used quality fixtures, flooring, cabinets and showers. Great and safe place to live.

I toured this place and it was nice!
I would like to say that it is not all on them by any means. They are experiencing lack and or shortage of staff. This related to Covid where it all had started. Some of the levels of service are affected by this. It is not consistent , service levels are up and down quite often.

The River Park community is almost brand new so it is spotless clean and so fresh. Compared to other communities in the area the value it is great it is all inclusive which is great. The staff are so accommodating especially when it came to the meals, our loved one ate certain things that they chef was not offering at first but after we had a conversation with the chef he changed up the menu with our loved one. It is a growing community they are building onto it like crazy. Our first contact with [name removed] really just sold it for us she was so great to work with. They use doctors on call in SC as their physicians and we cannot even express who good of quality care they give to their residents.

River Park felt off to me. It was nice, but it just didn’t seem homey. It didn't have that welcoming feeling we were looking for.
The staff at this community are amazing. The food is outstanding and everyone is friendly and wants to get to know each other. Everything is great. They have activities like work outs multiple days a week, crafts, clubs, outings once a week and more for the residents to do in the community. They also have a chef talk and more for the residents there is always something to do all through the day. They also have patio talks in the evening for the residents.

River Park is really spacious, nice, bright, clean and we like the smaller scale of it. Based on the tour we knew our loved one would feel more comfortable and at home here. It just seemed like the best fit for her. The value for the money is right in line with other communities in the area and as far as we are concerned the care level is great.

We chose River Park because it was the closest and the presentation when we went for our tour was the best. I think the staff are very accommodating and also super friendly as well. I would definitely recommend to others looking.

We had a very good tour experience with River Park. It is brand new and it looked like they had a good program for memory care. It is a larger facility and with our loved one having dementia we just thought that she would be confused and needed a smaller environment.

A Place for Mom has scored River Park Senior Living 9.2 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
