Meadows of Owosso

My husband's respite stay here went very well, the staff was friendly attentive and they encouraged him to be a part the different amenities that were offered there. His room was very nice and my husband was free to move about the community, there was a nice courtyard and he felt comfortable here. I would recommend scheduling a tour of this community.

Covenant Glen of Frankenmuth
5.0

I have just placed my Wife into Covenant Glen in Frankenmuth. The process was quite smooth, but also I needed to be patient, a hard thing for me to do..But the administration & staff at this place is top notch. The Exec. Director & I had spoke on the phone several times, and I also worked with "The Alissa's".. a very good experience. I moved my wife from a failing facility to a much better place with more STUFF & for less money. The monthly fees are very competitive.. I know I've done my homework & have a LTC policy on my wife... I have no reservations about placing wife in the CARE of Covenant Glen.. Thank Goodness for Good People... [Removed]

The nurses and aides are compassionate toward my father and the family, acitivites are offered throughout the entire day, food is great. The residents all seem very happy and staff the same. We heard about this place in the community and have not been disappointed.

Independent Living

Independent Living Communities provide seniors with a balance between an opportunity to live an independent lifestyle and not having to worry about chores. Food preparation, leisure activities and housekeeping responsibilities are handled for you while you are unencumbered to use your time as you choose. Along with their daily needs being met, residents can enjoy an opportunity to be among peers, surrounded by others of similar ages and backgrounds. Typically consisting of a private living area and a full kitchen, these communities offer residences with many of the amenities of apartment life but without the hassle. Guests can be invited over and entertained, and there will be more time to spend with them with the basic maintenance of daily tasks out of the way. While policies vary between locations, a number of residences allow pets as well. If residents decide they would like to employ the services of private medical providers, they always have the option. There are a number of costs and benefits to balance when determining an independent living community. It is important to figure out if these services are included in the care plan: transportation, internet access, initial assessment fee, utilities, field trips, laundry, cable TV, and Waiting list deposit. The benefits and amenities that pertain to independent living include game/TV room, restaurant-style dining hall, transportation, laundry service, security guards, golf course, healthcare center, and fitness center & swimming pool.
