Caremore of Genesee Valley Assisted Living - Hamilton Assisted Living

We chose Caremore of Flint Assisted Living because the atmosphere, we got a great first impression feeling when walking in. The staff and owners were also very friendly and helpful and willing to work with us on price. The room sizes here are very good, very spacious and they have their own half bath with a community shower. I would say the best part about the community so far has been their shift nurse, she makes sure things get done and is always on top of things. I would recommend to others.

This place is the last place to put your loved one. There are no activities, no devotional services, and no nutrition in the meals they serve. The televisions work half the time and you are charged for the cable service on top of the 3100$ a month rent which includes nothing but medicine distribution and horrible meals. Which ever caregiver is working cooks the meal which mostly include peanut butter sandwiches and a bowl of canned soup, hamburgers with stale chips and frozen pizza. Everyone has moved out and those left can't move or are only there for a short time. Avoid this home. The manager withholds information even when it is requested by the residents who are paying to live there. If you tour the home speak to the residents and check out the handicap ramp in back. The resident has to manuver many stepping stones before they can even reach the ramp.

This is a horrible place for a loved one. They do not serve nutritional meals unless you feel frozen pizza and peanut butter sandwiches are nutritious. There are absolutely NO activities for the residents. The caregivers are NOT trained and the turn over is constant. There was black mold in one residents bathroom. The rooms are dark, blinds old, carpets dirty, vents and closest doors rusted, electrical sockets hanging from the walls and glass closet doors broken. The meals are horrible and there us no security. Anyone can walk in the front door and most of the time see not one employee as you walk through. The handicap ramp in the back is difficult to use because the residents have to maneuver quite a few laid stepping stones before reaching the ramp. The Manager does not listen to complaints or provide information requested regarding the owners name or contact information. They are remodeling now, however, that does not change the meals provided, no activities or exercise and the condition of the rooms. If you cherish your loved one, do not place them in this home. The residents pay over 3000$ a month and don't even get nutritious meals. The furniture in the rooms is filthy and old.

We are so pleased with the care that our mother has received here. Since my mom has a feeding tube we were limited on where she was going to be able to go. The staff here have been wonderful, caring and friendly. They make sure that mom is a part of the different activities, they set up physical therapy for her there as well. This is a wonderful home that has 12 residents, my mom has her own room, she stays busy with their help, she's starting to talk more and become more social just seeing the wonderful changes in our mom has brought some peace of mind to our family. I would definitely recommend coming here for a tour.

I was not impressed with my tour of this community. It was dark, and that was not the type of atmosphere I wanted for my husband. I thought it was odd that you have to bring your own furniture. It was more a hospital atmosphere. Overall I knew this wasn't the community for us.

I had a very nice tour of this community. Everything went well. The staff was very kind.

The staff are doing a good job of taking care of my uncle. They are attentive and answer our questions. He is not complaining about the food and they have good choices. They offer daily activities and they keep the community clean. I would highly recommend this community.

Things have gone very well at Hamilton's Assisted Living, we're very pleased with it! The staff are very friendly, and always happy to see us drop by for a visit! They take great care of the people who live here, and seem to know all of the residents by name!

Friendly, welcoming and prepared for a drop in visit. Residents seemed happy. First one I visited....liked the homie feel and the individual rooms with half baths....a plus

Adrien was very pleasant, professional, thorough and patient. We considered a respite stay but did not follow through with it. It remains an option. We like the add-on section.

I love this place!! We are so pleased! We really have no complaints or anything bad to say! After being in 4 places, it is so nice to see my mom finally happy again! She lost her smile for a little while, but it's back now! She's smiling all the time, and gaining weight! Some places, you feel like they are just in it for the money, but these people really care! This is the happiest she's been in a long time, and we're the happiest we've ever been!
