South Port Square has been excellent. My mom is very pleased with service and quality. The interview process and financial assessment was very informative in making this decision. I would highly recommend South Port Square.
My friend was only in this community for about 9 days. During this short period of time, they were very nice to her. For a person that has limited income, it's perfect. It's an older facility and is run by donation. The place is clean and the care is top notch. I have high praise for this place. Angie, betty, Donald and tailor are outstanding. They are very caring and compassionate about what they do whenever I needed them they would say "were going to work through". They called her doctor when they needed to. I was very pleased with the care received from this place, I would rate them above a 5 if I could.
I like the staff who are overly friendly. Helpful as needed. They feed you well. Encourage you to do as many daily activities as possible. I love it here - environment is great. Food is pleasing and tastes great. It is the involvement of home - everyone is always there with a pleasant attitude. It really is great. I would recommend it to anyone needing a special friendly environment. It's like home with family. I love it here.

Independent living offers a stress-free lifestyle for older adults. Independent living communities don’t provide personal care or supervision, but do offer generally healthy adults opportunities for socialization and hassle-free living. Independent living services often include:
For many seniors, cost of owning a home and the upkeep of the property might deter them from living an independent life. Independent Living Communities offer a solid alternative. Occupants can continue to live their lives as they desire while their meals are cooked by a professionall chef, housekeeping and laundry duties are taken care of by staff, and recreational activities are organized and scheduled. Along with their daily needs being met, residents can enjoy an opportunity to live among peers, in a community with others of similar age groups and backgrounds. Typically consisting of a private living space and a full kitchen, these communities offer residences with many of the amenities of apartment life but without the hassle. Guests can be invited over and entertained, and more time can be spent with them with the basic maintenance of daily tasks out of the way. While policies differ between communities, many residences allow pets as well. Nursing and health care services may always be arranged for with independent care providers as desired. There are a number of costs and benefits to keep in mind while deciding on an independent living community. It is important to figure out if these amenities are covered in your service plan: cable TV, utilities, meals, internet access, private phone, laundry, move-in fee, and parking. The luxuries associated with independent living include community activities, beauty salon & barber shop, transportation, golf course, security guards, game/TV room, fitness center & swimming pool, and laundry service.
