Legacy Village of Salt River in Scottsdale, AZ
4.0

My loved one is currently a resident at Legacy Village of Salt River and overall this facility is a 4+!. The staff is good. Their responsiveness to issues is good. The food is good. Housekeeping is once a week and works well for the resident. The move in was stress free and they were very accommodating. My loved one is settling in and feels very safe and well cared for. I would recommend Legacy Village of Salt River to others.

Their meals were outstanding! We love love love The Renaissance! Unfortunately my mother-in-law couldn't get along with her neighbor so it was her problem, not the communities, but we decided to move her out. We're still sad that it didn't work out.

MorningStar at Arcadia in Phoenix, AZ

The place is well run and very nice. I feel comfortable leaving my wife there. It is a little pricey, but generally first-class. They really seem to operate as a caring family. It's definitely a place that people should check out.

Complete guide to independent living

Paradise Valley, Arizona

Independent Living

Many seniors may be physically and mentally capable of living without assistance, but cost of owning a home might deter them from an independent life. Independent Living Communities provide a solid remedy to this situation. Food preparation, leisure activities and housekeeping duties are handled while you are free to use your time as you prefer. Along with their daily needs being met, residents can enjoy an opportunity to be among peers, in a community with others of similar age groups and backgrounds. Residents’ quarters consist of a private living space with their own kitchen. The independence of apartment life is still enjoyed, offering an opportunity to socialize with guests and visitors in a private and personal setting. While policies differ between communities, many residences allow pets as well. Nursing and health care services may always be arranged for with independent care providers as desired. There are an assortment of expenses and advantages to consider while deciding on an independent living community. It is important to learn if these amenities are included in the plan: laundry, transportation, initial assessment fee, internet access, wellness program, parking, meals, and field trips. The amenities that pertain to independent living include concierge services, community activities, security guards, game/TV room, transportation, beauty salon & barber shop, restaurant-style dining hall, and healthcare center.
