Overall experience, 4 - we believe she is reasonably safe there. Cleanliness, 4 - it's usually kept up pretty well. Friendliness of staff, 3 - executive staff is usually engaging, hands-on staff seems overworked and too stressed to be friendly. Quality of care, 3 - while seemingly safe and able to provide basic nutrition and medical care, staff appears to be stretched thin and response times can be too long when mom needs something. If mom spills on herself while eating, noone helps her change into something clean afterwards. Meals/Dining, 5 - seems adequate and she doesn't complain. Activities, 4 - there appears to be some opportunities for engagement. Mom doesn't participate often Value for Cost, 3 - costs keep rising, service seems to decline. I don't feel like we're getting her money's worth.

[name removed] His an exceptional manager who makes living at Waterford a wonderful experience. She adds such warmth and fun to the experience of living there. She makes every resident feel supported and acts on resolve problems quickly. She is so talented at her job & makes our lives so much better. Carrie from marketing is also very skilled and Works hard to make water for the right place for applicants. The apartments are very large with great torage. The screened in patio makes living with Minnesota bugs and enjoying constant fresh air possible. While the building is showing its age, and the kitchens are basic, I would encourage anyone to consider living there. The prices are the best in the metro area , a great value.

My family member came here under not so ordinary circumstances. I was looking for a NICE place. There are RN’s on during the day, but 1 LPN is responsible for the entire building on evening shift until morning. The evening/night crew are not trained on any sort of nursing assistant skills. The “nursing assistants” didn’t know how to empty a catheter bag. Don’t know how to transfer. Only 1 staff member knew how to operate lift assist equipment. I had cameras in my family members apartment and I saw everything. I have video of staff making fun of my confused family member. No one seemed to know the conditions of why each patient was there. Staff tried, but they just don’t know the basic skills of nursing assistants. I’m thankful I had cameras because I noticed my family member was dying, and staff did not. They wouldn’t administer morphine as instructed by hospice triage. The entire experience was very traumatic and eye opening.

Waterford is an older facility and not as nice as a lot of the new ones. However, you couldn't find more friendly people and staff anywhere. Excellent, staff always friendly and nice. Also good follow-through.

My parents live in an independent apartment and receive services from outside agencies. But I like that they are able to participate in monthly activities offered by the facility if they choose too. I liked the spaciousness of the unit, however the up keep of the property grounds needs some improvement; large pot holes for 2 years unrepaired. No updates to units, old cabinetry. Raised the rent twice in 1 year. Descent senior living for the price if your on a fixed income.

This experience has been an answer to prayers. I had accepted an offer on my townhome just prior to an unexpected surgery. [name removed]& [name removed](MGR & Marketing) have been very supportive and helpful not to mention flexible and always kind with my situation. Just home from a week in the hospital, [name removed]brought the lease agreement to my home to sign. She’s a pure delight.. like the daughter I never had. [name removed] went out of his way to help me with the apartment I wanted. It’s just beautiful and perfect for my needs. Do yourself a favor and check out this place before making a life altering decision. You’ll be glad you did!

Care/oversight is limited if resident doesn't need a lot of 1:1. The facility is older, but has been recently updated - main areas are kept very clean. Housekeeping in the residents' rooms seems to be irregular and not on regular cadence. The food is okay - with several options to choose from. The dining staff is very nice.

My father is currently a resident at Waterford Estates and Manor. The apartment is not fancy or really updated, but it's clean and decent enough that you feel comfortable with your parents moving there. The price is really the catch. With rent now so high, finding a reasonable place that your parents can afford is a plus. This place also offers an opportunity for socializing with a lounge, available coffee and TV that older adults can sit around and enjoy each other's company. I would recommend Waterford Estates and Manor to others.

It's a Great place, and it's reasonably priced. Right now, they are having SEVERE staffing issues, but I think every place is. They are taking good care of my loved one. They offer activites such as; Bingo, arts/crafts, movies, church servcies, bus trips to the grocery store and more. Thank you for finding the place for us!!!

The units are nice and spacious with nice size screened in balconies! It is definitely a place that seniors can call home. They have activities available throughout the month and many residents get together and socialize on a regular basis. [name removed] was very kind and professional. He was very instrumental in meeting the needs of my parents in regards to keeping us updated on the availability of units during our search. He listened to what was important to them in regards to location of the unit to other accommodations. He took us on tours to ensure it was a good fit and that they were comfortable. If your mail goes to the wrong building they will notify you and ensure you receive it. If you have concern's [name removed] is very good about getting back to you in a timely manner. The only con was them increasing the rent amount twice between the time we initially came to see the unit in August and moved in November. We were originally told the unit would be $1096 then $1140 at time of deposit and finally $1190 on move in day.

We have been very pleased with everything so far. For us, Waterford Estates and Manor has been a great fit.
I like the facility and the staff seem to be very friendly and really know what they are doing. There are a few issues that need to be resolved, but it is nothing too serious. So overall things are going well so far and we feel comfortable with him being here. It is still the early days so we are all still adjusting and getting to know one another.
The apartment our loved one has is suitable for her needs it has everything she could want, and in comparison to other communities the price is pretty good. Based on the experience we have had so far we would recommend Waterford Estates community to other families.

The staff are terrific. Activities are great. Admissions is excellent. They don't have nurses there 24 hours a day. I wish they did, but I understand that's difficult to have. The nurses they do have are really good though. I highly recommend Waterford Estates and Manor to other families.

The whole point of my loved ones being there is so my parents can be together. Unfortunately my mother doesn't need as much care as my father, so she is kind of left out of activities and the mainstream of things. I would like to see them step up with that. But for the most part the place is fine.

A Place for Mom has scored Waterford Estates and Manor 9.2 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
