My family and loved one had a wonderful experience with Traditions of Cross Keys. The staff are always available when the family has a question or issue. They are quick to answer our questions, and make sure we understand the reasons. The staff are kind and caring to the residents and family members. Everyone is very friendly. We would recommend the community to others for their loved ones.

I toured this community and it was pretty good. I didn't like that rates could fluctuate depending on LOC. I saw engagement on the AL side but not as much on the memory care side.
Response from Traditions of Cross Keys
December 15, 2022Thanks for visiting and the 4-Star rating! The Level of Care fees allow residents to age in place at Traditions. The more help residents need, the more caregivers we put on the schedule. I hope you’ll come back and see us again.
I have just moved my mom in from another facility. Through this while process everyone has been very helpful in making my mother's transition smooth. I am hopeful she will settle in well here.
A very healthy environment The best decision we made My loved one is happy and well cared for

I would suggest someone keeping looking at other communities. The head nurse here doesn't seem very qualified for this position to handle residents that might have aggression issues and the head nurse didn't handle this properly that we saw. I feel the staff in the memory care area should be able to handle residents with aggression issues. The community never suggested re-evaluation of medication listing for my loved one during my loved one's stay. The community didn't communicate with the family about trying to find a new community for our loved one, after my loved one being admitted to the hospital.

Friendly, caring, helpful, competent staff. Very clean. Staff seem like family.
We can't say enough about the compassion and care that has been given to us and our mother in the time she has been here. [name removed] and [name removed] have been fantastic with us right now with moms illness. They have been there for us in moms hospitalization and rehab. We were guided in the process needed for the transition and the appeals process. They both fought hard for mom to be sure she was safe and comfortable. We could not ask for more.
Warm, nurturing, caring environment with plenty of activities, wonderful food prepared in healthy manner. My mother's medical issues have improved since coming to Traditions and she has been taken off medications as a result. My family and I are very happy with our decision to have our mother live at Traditions.
My mind is finally at ease knowing that my parents are taken care of by such a wonderful group of people. When I arrive I smile and when I leave I smile. Excellent Experience all around !!

This is our father's 2nd assisted living facility. The differences are discernably positive. Your standard of operational procedures truly benefit the residents' needs instead of streamlining practices. The staff is engaging and interacting with my father often. We as a family notice the care and attention and greatly appreciate the staff's efforts.
Anyone that has to make the decision to place a loved one in a new environment, struggles with decisions every day in the beginning. Traditions of Cross Key staff [name removed], [name removed], [name removed] and [name removed] have been excellent in listening to my fears and concerns. Each day became less and less of a struggle. I applaud the aides and nurses for the care they give, it is not an easy job and I thank them for their patience. Residents can be difficult (especially mine).
My uncle [name removed] told me that [name removed] reminded him that today was the lunch trip and visit to the Amish Market. He was so excited that someone reminded him about the outing and was so excited to tell me all about it. It was nice to hear the happiness in his voice.
I just wanted to say thank you to all of the staff at Traditions for such a wonderful kick off to Valentine's Day 2022. The food was delicious and the staff was so welcoming. The beautiful glass containers with floating candles, The valentine balloon, and let's not forget the Pinot Grigio. What a WOW event. I will be RSVPing YES for next year. Thanks for all you do
Don't hesitate to place a loved one here. Your loved one will be well cared for. It has been a very good experience with the community for my loved one and family. The staff encourage the residents to participate in the activities. The staff communication with the family is very good. They do a great job at following up with answering our questions. They even know us by name when we visit our loved one.

We really liked Traditions. The facility was very nice, and we were considering them as an option. But the marketing person who we met with was a little brash, which really turned off one of our family members. Perhaps she‘s not indicative of the entire staff, but she was certainly the face of the facility for us that day. Also, their memory care was a separate, locked unit. And we were looking for a place that would give our loved one more free range while still remaining secure.
Response from Traditions of Cross Keys
April 25, 2022We certainly understand the importance of first impressions. In fact, most people comment on our friendly team, the warm and comfortable environment and the beautiful gardens (that our Memory Care residents have access to!) here at Traditions of Cross Keys. We are disappointed you didn’t see us at our best, but if you are still searching for a community, we hope you’ll visit us again.
This place is horrible and you should avoid at all costs. Some of the support staff are nice but the people in charge are rude and unresponsive. My resident was not well taken care of and the were numerous trips to the hospital. The place was filthy and there were mouse droppings in the dresser and around the room. I could go on, but you get the idea.

A Place for Mom has scored Traditions of Cross Keys 9.9 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
