Response from The Solana Doylestown
October 16, 2024Thank you again for taking the time to let us know how we did. We hope you have a great day!
We cannot put into words how wonderful The Solana of Doylestown has been for my mother who has been residing there since [date removed]. It is clean, bright, and cheerful and is incredibly well maintained. If you are looking for a place where your loved one will be treated with love, compassion, professionalism, and patience, where they are respected and safe, this is the place to take them. The staff is extremely attentive to each person’s needs and are always willing to go above and beyond. They keep families updated on the resident’s care, their concerns and send out a monthly calendar of activities for the family to view. The competent and friendly staff keeps the residents active rather than them just sitting in their rooms all day with such activities as daily aerobic classes, craft activities, weekly live music, lots of card and brain games and scenic drives. Thank you all at The Solana for being such shining stars, for loving Mom and for all that you ALL have done for our family.

Staff is very good and helpful. Each one has several jobs to do. They know the residents very well and how to care for each one in a very friendly way. This is where I belong.

September 27, 2024We strive for 100% satisfaction, and it is great to see you had such a positive experience at The Solana Doylestown. We're glad to hear we delivered such a great experience. If there's anything further we can do for you, we are happy to help!
They really need better trained aids and to improve on the current nursing staff. They also could use a better chef and menu choices. More activities would be nice involving lectures, or making different hand crafted things. Based off of the experience, I would no recommend The Solana Doylestown to others at this time.

August 7, 2024Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations. If you have long-term care insurance, file the claim and let the insurance company work out the details. Mix up your visits. I always visit on Sundays, and try to throw in some random visits on other days. They occasionally have holiday celebrations. Like Mother's Day, Father's Day, Easter, etc. These are awesome, and such a help. I find taking my mother out to be so stressful. It's wonderful when I don't have to. The food and dining staff are wonderful. The staff is really helpful with things like getting my mother ready for weddings, and big family events. They somehow can convince her to bathe. I don't know how. They check on my mother often. I recently visited for three hours, and in that three hours they came to check on her four times. These people do God's work. I can't emphasize that enough. I want to hug them every time I see them.

July 30, 2024We are very happy we could provide you with a positive experience! We are always more than happy to assist you or your mom if anything else comes up. Take care!
I have to say that I have no complaints with any area of The Solana Doylestown, my dad is happy there in every way. But he is still very self sufficient and driving, which makes a huge difference. He has no levels of care right now because he does not need it, so I am just a visitor at the moment. I think he is staying in more and more as he gets acclimated and finds friends. He is very happy at The Solana Doylestown in every way at the moment and that means the world. I love his room and the facility.

June 5, 2024Lisa, thank you for your kind review; we are happy to pass along your comments to the team here at The Solana Doylestown! We hope to see you soon!
I’m a respite care “patient “ recovering from a fractured femur. I was concerned about fitting in at a residential facility but from day one the staff was pleasant and made me feel welcome. I have physical and occupational therapy and several activities a day. My medication is closely monitored . They are encouraging and working to get me home. A place for me and your Mom!

January 3, 2024Camille, we are glad we could help! Thanks again for the recommendation, and have an amazing day!
My father was at Solana 2023. They were understaffed quite a bit of time and lied about that. When he first got there, the food was excellent then it went downhill. I felt as if I had to go every day to make sure of his safety and cleanliness there I changed his sheets and clean the bathroom Near and to the very end of my father’s life I was there almost 24 seven monitoring him because they couldn’t seem to get his morphine to him on a needed basis I have everything documented and it’s not a place you would want to send your family member at the end HORRIBLE!! I’m reading this and if there’s any other way, I could tell people about this I will please don’t let them fool you.

Our family had an in person tour with The Solana Doylestown and we thought it was an excellent facility. The person who took us around on the tour we found to be very friendly, and informative. It was very positive and the only reason we did not pick this community was the cost - it was just going to be to high
We're not really happy with The Solana. The residents are allowed to mosey about the facility on their own as they please. We thought there would be more care. The food is lousy. Everybody complains about it. And they're a paying a lot of money for the food that they're getting.

March 10, 2023We are disappointed to see you had anything other than a five-star experience, and would appreciate the opportunity to discuss with you further. Please reach out to Jessica Quill, Executive Director at QuillJessica@thesolanadoylestown.com. Thank you.
I wouldn't consider Solana to be assisted living. They need better help for elderly care, they need a better chef, the activities were limited, and the nursing staff needs more bodies.

They are sometimes short staffed. The staff is good. My loved one did not like the food. Compared to other places, it's more affordable. We picked this community, because they had a prefurnished respite care room, the cost was good, and they allowed my loved one, to pay on a monthy basis with no upfront cost.

We toured with The Solana Doylestown and thought the facility was nice. For us the location was a little far. The location that it is in, the traffic to get in and out of there is terrible and I just did not want to have to deal with that every time I visited.

Based on our tour, I thought The Solana Doylestown was very nice. It was the priciest place we looked at though.
This is a very nice place for your loved one. The only thing is that the food is not good and we think that this should be taken care of. The staff are very nice and helpful with any of our needs for our loved one. This has been a positive experience.

They do a good job at this community. They take excellent care of and genuinely care about the residents. They are extremely responsive to the needs of the family and the residents of the community. This is also a very cozy and smaller community and it makes my mom feel like she is part of a family.

I chose the The Solana because the quality of care looked good and the facility is nice. The residents are very active during the day, but at night it is more just movies. The activities director is excellent and attentive. I do think the evening caregivers need to be trained better on how to work the TVs. A lot of staff turnover, but they are really trying to get that figured out. I would definitely recommend to others looking.

We chose this facility because of the location, the value, as well as the overall offering and quality of the facility. The rooms are good sized, they are more than adequate and they do have other sizes that they offer. I have eaten here and the food is good, they have a good variety and if you ever want something else than what is on the menu, other options are available. I would recommend The Solana Doylestown.

We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
