I am thrilled that my parents moved here. There are activities galore and so many services, terrific ways to make friends, a wonderful rehab facility on site, a beautiful landscape and more. There always is something to do, or you can choose to remain in your apartment. The apartments are beautiful, with so many layouts to choose from. THIS REVIEW REQUIRED ME TO SAY ASSISTED LIVING as it does not give a choice for INDEPENDENT LIVING.... Read more

A horrible place run by some horrible people with a few very good folks in a system that is set up to fail . My mother has been there for many years , paying over $10k per month and I can’t even get a number to call where someone will answer when there is a simple issue ( like they leave her lights on all night by mistake interrupting her sleep). Many bad stories to tell , but avoid this nightmare if you can

Totally irresponsible for care other than feeding-do does not assist with other needs, such as doctor visits, shopping needs, and physical therapy. My aunt had her hearing aids delivered to the front desk-they were lost in the shuffle getting to her room. Not only refuse to address issues/help her get new ones/ have not even addressed issues to her or their relatives after repeated attempts to get help. She is floundering without them! Disgraceful.

They need significantly more and better help at the Rose garden. Having my mom there and relying on the help there is the hardest thing I have had to do in my life. Meals are late. Total lack of communication between staff and medical professionals and departments. Protocols and procedures are inconsistent and not followed and patients and family requests are often ignored. Some of the help is amazing, others could care less. We have spoken to the head of nursing and social work to address issues but have seen little if any addressed to an acceptable level. We have been there and there is no help on the floor. With the cost, they really need to improve and put forward a. better effort. Please help!

Everyone seemed to be dull and doing nothing and it was not active. I didn't see happiness in anyone's eyes and sitting there in space. This was just not what I was looking for for my loved one.
The nursing care in the gardens is unacceptable. They do not administer all of your medications. They let you swelter in 100 degree weather with no air conditioning and knowingly put you there, even when you have a breathing problem. Do not change your diapers or bath you. And this treatment comes from the administration. They know full well what they are doing. I would not recommend Erickson Living to anyone. This is not carefree living. They should be ashamed of themselves! All they want is your hard earned Money!

Rates increase each year at twice inflation rate. Recent dining changes limits quantity and selection. Portions small, quality poor, and service arbitrary. Poor value for the high cost.

Yearly increases great than twice inflation. Recent food changes (2019) draconian with limited selections. Example, entitled to 1/2 slice of bread or one small roll. Portions small an only consistent is that the food is inconsistent.

A Place for Mom has scored Ann's Choice 5.8 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
