The staff at The Harmony Collection at Hanover are friendly and willing to work with families. The facility is bright and cheerful and the rooms are spacious. The housekeeping is okay. The rooms seem to be keep tidy most days. Since my brother is unable to remember to clean on his own, I depend on the facility to perform regular cleaning. I would say that it is average. The facility assisted with move in and lent furniture to ensure that he was comfortable. The meals are above average. The general staff is friendly, but the management staff not so much. They are friendly when you can get in touch with someone, but when you have to leave messages no one returns calls. general staff. The food can be too "salty" too "fancy"

The nurses at the facility are great! The meal prep and activities are nice as well. The Business Office is slow to respond and unprofessional. The Harmony Collection at Hanover is not a bad place overall. It is a little pricey though.

Loved one lived in Memory Care which appears to be the neglected section of Harmony compared to rest of facility. Depressing decor that is brown, tan and sparse, nothing to cheer up or stimulate minds of residents. Observed most residents parked in front of a community tv all day with staff frequently on their phones not interacting with residents. No therapy to slow cognitive decline, activity was coloring, game shows and occasionally singing/music. Frequently encountered the smell of urine when entering wing. Loved one paid for incontinence care which was inconsistently provided, so it is not surprising that the smell was prominent. Unappetizing and low cost food served, my loved one was often not retrieved for meals, there seemed to be no routine practices to do so and those with memory issues seemed to be expected to know when to go to dining room for meals. Lots of temps, few permanent employees. A very basic level of care that felt more like a kennel than compassionate care.

The Business Office practices and record keeping are less than par. The communication has been insufficient in attempting to resolve and accounting matter, and rather that work on the issue, the staff have been finger pointing at each other for accountability. Needless to say, due to turnover, some of those involved are no longer employed, so those remaining have used them as a scapegoat. Hence, I am in the process of filing a formal complaint.

Recently moved my Mother out of here . They are short staffed in all departments. I used to chat with the staff often and it wasn’t nothing but complaining and Overwhelming for most of them. Not enough Aides or Med techs my mother was given her medicine 4 hrs after the set time and this wasn’t a 1 time incident it was Multiple times my sister and her husband had called . The Food is Bad the Cook who runs the kitchen is her unprofessional uniforms are nasty and some of the staff wear regular clothes .. just because something seems like something doesn’t mean that’s the truth and I’m very dissatisfied

No one is ever at the front desk to answer the phone and they are short staff of nurses. One nurse has 2 floors give out meds and its doesn't make no sense that a patient has to get their meds at 11:10am I do not recommend this facility.

Staff is friendly and cares, but not always fully staffed. Ironing out billing-keep an eye on it. Be there as much as possible to advocate and do for your loved one. Picked because of price & location.

April 25, 2024We appreciate you taking the time to provide your feedback and willingness to share your experience.
This facility will sell you a beautiful package but the overall quality of care doesn't match the price tag. They also increase the rate once you get in and don't value your concerns or comments.

Don't bring people you care about,80% of the staff does not care about these precious helpless souls. I was there 12 hours a day seeing what went on behind those doors, I was terrified and helpless leaving my brother there when I when home to sleep. ultimately he died there, and they did not refund me the amount of money I overpaid them for that month. I certainly hope someone with authority catches this business for what they are, I spoke to many for help. they never responded.

My loved one is in the Memory Care unit with Hospice care at The Harmony at Hanover Assisted Living and Memory Care. I feel that she is well cared for. The dayshift CNA's are really good, patient and friendly. The cleanliness is okay. The food is average. I do not regret putting my loved one here.

December 29, 2023Thank you for taking the time to review Harmony!
Too much to say, other than my grandmother moved in Aug 2023 and will be moving out [date removed]. I should have listened to her! I was so impressed on our tour. But trust me, sadly what you see is not what you get! I will be contacting corporate.

Most of the nurses were very nice. The activities director left so they had no activities on the memory care side. We liked the facility and ppl during the tour. All the other things happened after my loved one was admitted. But we only had her there for a respite stay.

August 1, 2023Thank you. We strive to provide a caring, loving environment at our communities and we appreciate your trust in caring for your loved one. Thank you for sharing your feedback regarding activities in Harmony Square, we are investigating that further.
Good experience overall - would definitely prefer a much higher staff to resident ratio if looking for assisted living. Also, we observed a nursing staff shortage. The head RN is wonderful, however we noted that she worked well over full-time the entire time our mother was there. The facility is well kept and pleasant, and the activity offerings are abundant. The dining is somewhat limited however, and dining times are not flexible - leaves little choice for the residents. Additional dining options and times would make a big difference.

They are doing their best with the food. It is affordable. We picked this community because it was recommened by A Place for Mom, and the move in coordinator responded immediately. Also, the location was good. We liked the comfortable atmosphere, and it's a smaller community. It had what we needed for our purposes. They were very acoomodating and catered to our specific needs. I would recommend to other families.

My mother is a resident in assisted living at Harmony. There have been multiple problems since she moved in almost 12 months ago. There is constant staff turnover and staff shortages. Poor communication between staff and family. Recently found out that my mom's insurance was being billed by an outside agency. Harmony made the referral and provided my mom's personal information without notifying or gaining consent from family members who have power of attorney.

I would recommend the community to others for their loved ones. Overall the staff have been responsive to questions or concerns the family has. So far this has been a good place for our loved one. There are three meals served a day, and there are choices for the residents to choose from. My loved one is very happy with the meals, and the food always smells good when I visit.
