Terra Bella is a nice home away from home. Environment is clean and friendly. The biggest complaint is the food. It is always cold. They definitely need improvement with their meals. They are not very appetizing.

The only problem that I had with Terra Bella was their policy of only being able to use their pharmacy. My dad was retired Army and was unable to use his TRICARE for life medical benefits. In the three months he was there we paid out almost [fee removed] dollars in medication cost. I would recommend Terra Bella as an assisted living facility with the understanding that using their pharmacy is rather expensive.

Most of the staff is very friendly and helpful but the current Director is not responsive to calls or emails. They need a healthier selection on the food menu.

This place was not a fit for my father. Although assisted living was recommended upon leaving rehabilitation, he needed something in between this and skilled nursing care. If you're considering this place, ask a lot of questions, because they won't tell you all you need to know. Most of the staff are friendly. The head nurse had a lot to be desired. No sense of urgency or sense of caring. The food didn't seemed to be tailored to elderly adults either. This place may fit the needs for some, but personally, I wish that we had chose somewhere different for my father.

One of the staff told me this after a few weeks of my mom being at Terra Bella. We chose Terra Bella because of the staff engagement with the residents. This has been true that there are very caring and engaging and genuinely nice people who work at Terra Bella. They have guided my family and helped us through a difficult transition. The residents are happy and engaged with each other. The staff is fun and attentive. The health services are awesome. It has been a hard transition for our family made easier because of the people who work at Terra Bella. My mom loves it… not that it was always easy…. But she enjoys being around happy residents and loves the dining room staff and so many others who have helped her feel “at home”. Can’t thank these people enough for how they value their residents.

My aunt has been miserable ever since TerraBella took over. She doesn't like the food, she has belongings that are missing, and she told me that they were upset because she wet the bed (she's incontinent). They said they didn't know if she would have sheets for her to sleep on. I called on the sheet thing and told them that they had plenty of time to wash and dry them before bedtime. She wanted me to move her somewhere else, but I told her we couldn't afford it and where would I put her. It's hard to find vacancies. She says they don't ever go anywhere any more. I called Social Services and got a phone number to file a complaint. She calls with complaints almost everyday. I have called and left messages for them to call me, but they have never returned my calls.

The facility has changed over hands. It is now TerraBella and the turn over was horrible. The staff that worked there at the time were not so kind to my mom and when I reported it they did not do anything about it. One employee called my mom an ugly old lady and nothing was done. Mom was afraid there. I have heard that several employees were let go from there. So it could be better now.

Our experience has seemed to be a bit concerning. Staff seems professional. Housekeeping has been average. They are not as attentive as we had hoped. Move in process went well. There were issues getting tv set up and problems with heat not working properly. Food is average...could use improvement. Suggestions: would be nice for staff to be more welcoming for visitors, better communication and more attention given to residents. My father-in-law didn't come to lunch one day and had not been checked on. He had a stroke, was found on the floor in his room hours later and is now in a rehabilitation center.

Very clean. Staff is friendly and very helpful. Housekeeping seems okay, but sometimes scheduling of laundry and room cleaning are inconsistent. The food is absolutely amazing, but sometimes service can be a little slow especially for guests. Medical questions can sometimes be a little slow in getting answers, but they do seem to work hard to get answers. The front staff managers are amazing and do not hesitate to respond when I have questions. The biggest recommendation is to have food staff a bit more organized, especially when guests are there so if we plan on a quick lunch with a family member it can truly be quick. Overall, the experience has been great and my mother loves it there.

It's been recently taken over by a new parent company and is being completely renovated. It's not finished yet, but the changes to date have been very nice. The food needs to be improved. And my father is in the memory care unit, where the activities are somewhat lacking.

My loved one was previously a resident at TerraBella Greensboro and everything about her experience at this facility was great. The staff at TerraBella were wonderful and so caring. This facility is a beautiful campus. They offer a lot of activities for the residents to participate in. Unfortunately, my loved one passed away recently, but her experience at this facility was wonderful. I would recommend TerraBella Greensboro to others.

November 3, 2023Thank you for taking the time to leave your review. It looks like you may have left the review on a different business page as we are Brighton Gardens of Greensboro.
The food was very good the 1st month our loved one was there, but not it is terrible. Not sure why there has been such a change. What our family does like the most about the community is the staff members and service. Based on the experience so far, we would recommend TerraBella Greensboro community to other families.

The facility is very nice. The rooms are clean and they offer different levels of care to meet your needs. The food is by far better than any center I have visited. Lots of selections. The dining Director took the time to ask me what my Nana liked and made her feel right at home. The nurse had me laughing and we chatted for hours. The sales people are very friendly and not pushy. They have been very understanding and caring to my Nana

August 4, 2023Hi Mrs. B, Thank you for taking the time to provide us with a review of your experience. We are pleased to hear that our team made your experience pleasant and provided you with the necessary information. Please feel free to reach out to us at information@sunriseseniorliving.com or the community directly, in case you have any additional questions regarding Sunrise!
It hasn't been the best since the new ownership. I wouldn't recommend. When we originally selected it we were told it would be different. We had some issues when we first moved our father in and things were starting to settle and with the new ownership things have declined quickly. Staffing needs to improve. Management needs to be active and the dining services needs to be improved. The food is horrible. The good people they have are being overworked and not able to handle the workloads.

We love Brighton Gardens! They take amazing care of my aunt, they take them out to local restaurants or shopping occasionally, the chef there is excellent, they even had a stir fry night for them, and they offer all kinds of entertainment for the residents. They provide housekeeping, laundry, and medical care. They also supply free transportation two days a week for doctors appointments. They also have a hairdresser. The staff is friendly and genuinely care about their residents. Everyone was was very helpful when I was setting up my aunt's apartment and moving her furniture and things into the building and set up her bed frame and mattress for me. I found their fees to be comparable with other facilities, but my aunt really liked that at Brighton Gardens her apartment has a living room, kitchenette, and a separate bedroom. It's not just a one-room apartment. She has a large bathroom with a walk-in shower with a built-in seat and handheld shower. She also has a big closet as you walk in the door to her apartment. They decorate for every season and if the resident doesn't have their own decorations, they decorate their residence's door area. They are great about keeping in touch with me about how my aunt is doing. I can't say enough positive things about Brighton Gardens!

The feeling of being at home stood out to us about this facility, we felt Mom would "thrive" here. The staff is very friendly. They offer many different activities and take residents regularly on "outings". Transportation to appointments/Dr. Offices is available weekly. Laundry can be provided. Beautician is available weekly. Family is invited to participate in special programs. I would recommend them to family and friends.

We had a really good experience with the excutive staff, but we had a different experience with the floor staff. We picked this community, because of the cleanliness and communcation between the staff and family. They need to improve on expecations vs reality for families. There is an inconsistency with day to day staff. But overall, I would recommend to other families.
