This place is not good for Memory Care. My Mama was there & they had beds bugs. She did not have a bath for 2 weeks & then I was the one to bath her. They have staff that is fixing other staff members hair instead of looking after resident or playing on laptops or cell phone. Have resident that poops & Peeded were ever & they just put paper towels over it. They also keep your funds when you are dues refund from over payment Please do not put your loved one here##

I would not recommend Holden Heights has it has major facility and staff problems. Four story building has 2 elevators, but usually only 1 works for 100 patients. What would happen in an emergency? Exit doors are not ADA and most residents use walkers and wheelchairs! Electrical issues are just cleaned off aka smoldered electrical outlet, screws never even removed, but management was it was fixed! Does this sound like a safe environment for your loved one? Staff is mostly visible only weekdays-weekends if staff is on floor there are usually friends, family and even children behind the nurse's station. Staff doesn't answer call bells promptly appears to be an interruption. No communication between Management and family and even staff. Sanitation--mold growing in the fruit punch left in patient room for days Housekeeping only does center area in patient room, if that. Bring your own swifter and remember to change the sheets, too. The lists goes on to include laundry and business office. Don't pick Holden Heights, or you and your family member will regret that decision cause it does get worse!

Would not recommend Holden Heights. Has lots of problems: Has 2 elevators, but only 1 working most days for 4 floors- 100 patient facility. No ADA exit entry doors, hard for wheelchairs and walkers to get in and out of building. Unsafe electrical-smoldered outlet cover was just cleaned not fixed! Staff not visible on weekends, only during weekdays. Friends, children ,etc hang out behind nursing station on weekends .No uniform shirt or name badge so you don’t know who you are talking too. Communication between Executive Director and family and staff-doesn’t return emails and/or phone calls. Sanitation aka leaving fruit punch in patient rooms until it grows mold on top. Housekeeping only cleans center area of patient room-bring your own swifter and remember to change the beds. Laundry and business office also have issues. Don’t move your loved one into Holden Heights, as you will regret that decision.

This was a fairly nice facility. The staff were very friendly and I would've had no problem placing my father here after looking around. However, my father could not be accepted here, which we had to find out very late in the process, in a somewhat unprofessional manner.

I love this place everytime I come here I can see that they are improving on all levels. Definitely like the new managers they are more involved in the residents then the last ones and the new ED seems nice and has always accomplished whatever I've asked of her.

I did not like this community at all. It gave me an uneasy feeling. The downstairs of the community was real nice and the upstairs was nasty and smelled of urine and feces. I did not want my brother in this community. However, the lady that did take us around was super nice.

My loved one seems to be doing well since the move to the Holden Heights. The community itself is very clean and the meals are very good. The only thing that has been a small concern is the consistency of care between the staff members. Some take very good care of my loved one and others not so much. Also, they recently lost their activities director and there have been small things like birthdays not being remembered but they are not big concerns, I'm sure they will get straightened out when they hire someone new.
