It is a very nice and beautiful facility. I ended up having to hire 24 hour home care for my loved one in addition to the highest level of care because the response from the caregivers can be pretty poor. When my loved one would press the button, no one would show up to help. I had conversations with them and I think they have improved on that since then.

My mother is currently living in Independent Living at Springwell; she loves it. They do a nice job of steering folks in the right direction for Independent or Assisted Living. Very attentive staff and the marketing team stays involved with the residents even after they have lived there for years. I also have a friend whose mom lives in Assisted Living who is very pleased with the nursing team. She especially appreciates that many of the residents could be independent so it feels very vibrant when you walk around. The executive director is one of the owners, he has been there for more than ten years which was important to me when I was comparing communities.

We chose Springwell Senior Living because it is close to me and they offer 4 levels of care so as his care progresses, they help document that for his long term care insurance. He is in the smallest apartment size they have and it is a great size, it has a kitchen, living room, a huge walk in closet and bathroom. It is only 3 years old so everything is very new, they are great with the housekeeping. The staff have all been so kind and you can tell that they really love what they do. I would recommend to others looking as long as you can afford it.

We chose Springwell because of the setup of the unit and being able to go outside, and the staff to resident ratio. I had to clarify information several times that was not really clear to me. Sometimes what they told you and what was actually happening did not match up. Overall I would recommend but with some clarifications. If your loved one needs assisted living, I think it would be much better of an experience. There were some gaps of care in the memory care side.

SCHEDULED TOUR WENT VERY WELL. THE APARTMENTS WERE VERY NICE. THE TOUR THAT [name removed] TOOK ME ON WAS VERY IMPRESSIVE. I WAS VERY SURPRISED. [Name removed] DIDN'T TRY TO OVER SELL. SHE WAS VERY INFORMATIVE TELLING ABOUT THINGS THAT WAS NOT BOUGHT UP BY OTHER PLACES THAT I HAVE TOURED. VERY NICE COMMUNITY LIVING CENTER.

I don't know what happen but the facility cleanliness isn't good at all no more. My dad apartment is so dusty and dirty. It only looks like they just clean the restroom and vacuum and not that much. When my dad first moved in you would walk in and say this place is beautiful. His apartment was all ways looking and smelling so lovely. After is was cleaned. It was regularly checked by the Supervisor. But over the last 11 or 12 months this place is the worst. The public restrooms aren't cleaned on a regular and they aren't even checked. The front lobby what use to stand out looking so nice and clean is a mess. The staff isn't as friendly as they use to be either. And my father apartment doesn't all ways get cleaned sometimes it just get cleaned once a month and sometimes not at all the whole month.

I toured this facility, and I was quite pleased. It looked like a very nice facility. However, it is a bit farther from the family home than we would have liked. It was also much more expensive than we were anticipating.

It was very pleasant and clean. The food was very good. They just had so much turnover in the memory care unit. There was a distinct lack of leadership there. If you weren't in memory care then it would be a wonderful place.

Privately owned. 145 Units. Very pretty and elegant when you walk in. Very friendly staff. Friend's mother in law has been there for 7 months. Book club, theater and other cultural activities are offered, Kim says that many times residents don't take advantage of them but they are always looking to support whatever residents want to do. Nice areas for sitting and socializing. Food is not like Blakehurst because it meets dietary requirements. Rental fee provides two meals a day - breakfast would be served too early for mom, but she can get things the night before to keep in her room. RN is on premises 24/7. In Mt. Washington Area. Dr. Charles is the resident physician (same as Blakehurst). Transportation is available to medical appointments as well as other activities for a fee, or on the way for free if it can be arranged). There is a 10 person waiting list now. to get on the list, pay 50% of the commitment fee (about $2500). The apartments are beautiful, but would want the larger one. None come with bathtubs because they are all ADA compliant.

The infrastructure is very nice with window light and clean. It has a very good and attractive communal area that felt ?luke warm?: Meaning, the intensity of affection was /is governed by legally established boundaries, thus losing the ?love?. There are plenty of activities that the residents look forward to attending the activities. The area/neighborhood is safe and protected.

A Place for Mom has scored Springwell Senior Living Community 8 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
