It is sad to go visit my loved one to fine someone else clothes on her, sometime the same clothes 2 to 3 days, walk in No one in buildings, or med techs on their phones, resident falling no report on how it happen, afraid to leave name, also reported to administrator that did nothing

We had been searching for a place for my husband’s 97 year old father that felt more like home than all of the large nursing facilities we had looked at. A personalized care plan designed to meet his specific needs was also at the top of our list. We found that with Pacifica. He has been here for about a month and we are so happy with our decision thus far.

What we like the most about the Pacifica Senior Living community is that it is an all women cottage and the ratio of nurse to patient is better than many other facilities. Based on the experience we have had so far, we would recommend this community to other families who are looking for a place for their loved ones.

Director [name removed] is a horrible person. She keeps one caregiver for a cottage with 12 adults. She doesn’t care about elderly abuse, she doesn’t notify family members when our loves ones are hospitalized and under her care, one elderly man got lost in the streets of Clearwater, wondering around for six miles and ended up in the hospital. Another lady died at the hospital for complications resulting from a broken wrist. Another lady was bitten up by a male resident, while the caregiver was distracted on her cell. [name removed] should not be trusted with our loved ones. I called DCF and she in retaliation kicked out my elderly mother

July 12, 2023Due to HIPPA rules (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act), we are restricted from talking about your mother’s care, especially on a social media site. That said, caring for seniors with memory impairment can sometimes be challenging and we must be concerned for the safety of all of our residents. When an adverse situation occurs, we always do our best to ensure the dignity of those involved by following our internal and state protocols. Sometimes local authorities are brought in to assess the overall situation which can result in changes and resident moves. You will find that within senior services this is standard practice.
I have found that the staff is excellent in their caring for my wife. The grounds are very pretty. It does not seem like Assisted Living, but rather a group of cottages in a nice setting.

We picked this community, because they had a graduated memory care unit, and I would not have to move my loved one, if their level of care changed. The communication needs to improve. There has been turnover in the staff, administration, and support staff. My advice to other familes, is to understand what you are getting in terms of the organizational end of things.

Our family is happy with our choice to have mom at Pacifica for her care. The staff kept us informed and really seemed to care about her needs. The smaller "pod" environment was the best option for her, instead of the larger, multistory facilities.

Pacifica Senior Living was a very nice place. It is very small and there are less residents here, therefore there is less going on. The room sizes were super small which was a downfall for us. Each building has 2 wings and 5 small rooms in each wing. It is in an "L" shape, so you cannot get lost and everyone can congregate in the dining space. They do have a large outdoor porch area that is all fenced in. If your loved one keeps to themselves more or is someone who wanders, this would be the perfect place for them! It was just not the right fit for my dad.

Pacifica Belleair is a nice residential living option for assisted living or memory care patients. The single story cottages help to create a family oriented environment, and the outside gazeboes and walking areas are an added bonus. The staff is supportive and caring.
