Overall we’re happy with Sodalis Largo. The staff are very nice, the food is good, it’s clean, and the activities are good for a small facility. I only wish the communication and follow-up on items we’ve expressed concerns about was better.

My experience is from august of 2023 so hopefully if they are still In Business they have made the necessary corrections It was an awful experience. They were acutely understaffed Also they were without a facility doctor at the time due to untimely passing of theirs. But still. No backup plan ?? Thirty days with out a doctor at assisted living?? I do not recommend. Attractive to look at but no service.

My loved one was in the memory care unit. I don't know if Sodalis still does that. After the fact, it seems to me like their heart wasn't really in the memory care business. My opinion of the assisted living portion of sodalis would have been dramatically different. If they had the same effort on memory care as they did for the ALF, I think I would have been happy. I did not know how badly my loved one needed to be somewhere else, until after we had to move her out. Nothing further seems appropriate.

This is my first experience with an ALF but it seems good. Staff is responsive to questions and the place is well maintained. I think like most places these days there is staff turnover and vacancies but not much you can do about that.

The facility is well maintained. Staff is stretched thin and oftentimes takes a while to respond. Accuracy and administration of meds is hit or miss. The current management is working to improve the facilities administration and care for the residents.

[name removed] was so thoughtful to check in every so often because our process took a long time to find the right place AND the right time to make the move. Overall experience rated 4 but they have new staff so expected some hiccups. My concerns have been addressed or they are working on resolutions: Laundry = slow turn around. Cable TV- terrible connection / service and frustrating for my mom. My mom's room was in great condition at move in and they keep it clean. As well as the building and the dining room. The staff has helped so much with getting my mom settled and comfortable. They treat her like family. The nurses that I have met, Genuinely care about my mom. care services - so far so good. My mom has commented how good the food is. I have eaten there too! Not bad! She doesn't go down for breakfast so one of the nurses helps her make her (keurig) coffee and helps her prep her food sometimes in her apartment kitchen. WOW can't say enough about Sodalis' activities. [name removed] and [name removed] keep the residents busy. We were so happy how quickly our mom got involved, made friends, participated in activities and outings! The Facebook page says it all. I love seeing our mom in the photos smiling and having fun. One of the best prices in town...and I shopped around and toured 5+ communities. We picked Sodalis because of its location (close to our house) And the pricing .And the size of the building. Not too big and overwhelming. Truly feels like a Bed and Breakfast and tastefully decorated. Our mom was VERY against moving and "losing her independence" but now she is safe and happy and stays pretty busy! She still has her privacy in her new apartment but spends most of her time with her new friends sitting outside or doing activities. What a great place for her to live and enjoy the day to day around great people and caregivers.

What our family likes the most about Sodalis Largo are the different activities and the staff members. Our loved one also loves the meals that are prepared for them. They have several different activities which is really nice.

The staff are friendly. The housekeeping could be better. The third floor always had an odor, possibly flooding on old carpet? Communication between nursing and management staff and the family usually took several calls by us, as they didn't return messages in a timely manner, if at all. The front desk staff was always amazing. The move in/move out process was easy. My mom said that the meals were good. I would recommend this place as long as your loved one is pretty independent. Once my mom needed more help, it seemed like she was ignored more. I'm sure that short staffing was part of the problem.

Nice facility, but not well managed. Not as clean, including bathrooms, slow to wash laundry, my husband sat in wet pull-ups often and aids were supposed to be checking on him for that. Aids could use better training and availability of staff was very limited. Husband was left in bed all day most days. The activities people worked hard to provide good services to residents. With additional trained and caring aids, it could be better. when I sat with the director of nursing, (2. Weeks in) we developed a plan of care to improve my husbands care, but nothing changed. By week 4, I decided to move him to a different community. As we were exiting, a new due of nursing and exec director were hired. They were working on aids, but it takes time to find and hire qualified people. If they rebuild their team, it'll be a great community. I was paying for his care and ended up doing most of it myself.

Based on the comparisons for our loved one after looking at several other communities, we knew right away that Sodalis Largo was going to be the place for our loved one. The appearance of the facility, the demeanor and friendliness of the staff and basically their interest in taking care of our loved one persuaded us to make that decision and we are so happy we did. The other communities were not anywhere close to what Sodalis Largo could provide. We needed a locked memory care unit and for us that was a big safety concern

The people were all very knowledgeable and kind. I felt like when I told them that I had decided on another place they just kind of dumped me. I do still get tons of emails from their organization for support groups.
The hygiene wasn't as good as could have been. The toilet was filthy underneath, I reported this to the staff. I like the staff they are friendly and welcoming. We have actually since moved my wife out of here and into another facility that is more fitting for our needs.
we're very happy with this community. my loved one is doing really well here, the staff are all great. thumbs up all around!

Some of their responses to my questions made me feel like they were hiding something. . .
The facility is very nice, clean, and neat. The staff is so friendly and knowledgeable. I'm anxious for my mom to move in in 2 days.
We were happy to tour this community for care and needs. The staff was nice and caring. The community was clean and seemed nice inside and out. The menu looked appealing. We did like the layout of the community for good care.

We toured this community. We did not like having to move in and get furnature. The staff were nice and caring. The menu was nice. This is a nice community and families might want to tour this community for the care of a loved one.

We toured this community for the care for my mom. I was not what I was looking for. the staff seemed to be nice, but this is not what I wanted. I would suggest other families tour this community for the care of a loved one.
