Lake House Assisted Living

I actually had a friend ask me if I would recommend Lake House for her mother. I answered that I definitely feel it is a great assisted-living facility and my experience has been very positive with both the facility and the staff. My mom has had very specific health challenges that have made for a rough year. However, Lake House was definitely the right decision for her.

Overall, we are happy. It is right-sized to care for the residents appropriately. And, it's in a good location for our family to visit often. We would recommend to others. The residents- including my mom - are generally happy, which was not the case in some other ALFs that we visited.

We were very happy with the Lake House facility. I could come and go at various times. There were a lot of activities going on. They helped me schedule my loved one's doctor appointments and the transportation to and from. The facility had places our family could take him to to celebrate birthdays and holidays. I really appreciated all they did for us.

The facility itself is nice, it's newer and it sits on a lake. If your loved one needs a lot of care - like a lot of personal care - you might have a little bit of a struggle, but they do tend to work with anything you need. If there are any hiccups, they are willing to try and make it right.

Our family was so happy to find such a loving place for our father! He loves all the staff and is so pleased to call The Lake House his new home, the activity director keeps everyone active lots of fun outings, he especially enjoys his time in the cafeteria socializing with friends. We would highly recommend The Lake House!

Lake House is awesome and we couldn't be happier. My dad loves the place. It is a newer facility so everything is crisp and clean. It has a craftsman design style which makes it feel like a quality place. I visit every other day so I am here a lot. From what I have seen, the staff members who work here are super friendly which makes the residents happy and talkative. Everyone seems to be in a good mood on both sides. I would definitely recommend to others.

Lake House is a good fit for my friend. Different people need different things and so far it has been great for him. It works well because it is a smaller facility, they give him just a couple of options for food which works out well for him, and they come and knock on his door when it is time to eat which he needs. Everyone seems to know everybody and it is easier for him to make friends since there are less residents. They are a pet friendly facility, if he gets to the point he cannot care for his cat we are able to pay an extra fee per month and they will feed her and change the litter box. Another plus is that his doctor is at Lake House. Overall it has been a good situation for him.

Our loved one does complain a lot about the food, they say sometimes it is poor we don't if its the quality or if its because they used to cook for themselves all the time. They had to lock down a lot of their normal activities, but they still have done a really good job bringing in music entertainment. Our loved ones needs are met and they are well taken care of.

This is a very nice facility, but we are afraid mom will get lost in the shuffle. We believe she needs more care than this.

The facility seems very nice. Small and homelike. Residents were engaged when I arrived and listening to live entertainment when I left. Staff seemed very friendly and knowledgeable.

My father has been at Lake House for 2 1/2 years. Being a family run business you have their personal telephone numbers so that you can call 24 hours a day. You don’t get this from a corporation. My father has received kindness, consideration, and the best care I could ask for. Lake House is clean, beautifully furnished . This facility is run by a mother and son, and the mother decorates for every occasion. The staff are receptive to any needs you might have for your loved ones. There is a resident Council every month so that if a question arises it is dealt with. The families are included in all of the celebrations, Thanksgiving and Christmas a meal is arranged for the whole family of every resident, and I tell you it’s five star, the chefs are amazing. If you are looking for somewhere for your loved one, and you know you can sleep at night knowing that their every need is met then Lake House is where you should go.

The ability to meet the individual needs of the resident is wonderful. There is a nice home-like atmosphere. The buildings smell just like home, not like a residential institution. The food is well made and flavorful and meets the dietary needs of the residents. There are several activities each day, but they are a bit redundant. The memory care building is very home-like and the residents are respected as functioning adults, even when there are severe limitations. Communication with family is a bit less than anticipated.

I thought the overall facility was very nice. My mother however, was in the "Memory Care" unit which was a stand alone facility near the main building. I would not recommend memory care at Lake House. If you are looking for a facility for a patient in need of this service I would investigate and interview the staff thoroughly. The Lake House "memory care" may have resolved their staffing problems but to be honest I found I had to ask numerous times for items that would have made my mom's short stay better. [name removed]

I loved the atmosphere but was concerned about the fact that it may not fit my Mom for the rest of her life. Moving her once is going to be hard enough. The family doesn't want to move her again once she needs more care.

This was a nice looking community when we visited. The staff we met were friendly. This is a smaller community and they do seem to offer a lot of daily activities and some nice amenities. This community did not seem to have the personnel feeling we were looking for in a community.

I had a very nice tour of this facility. The community looked great, but the room they showed us was small. The staff was friendly, and polite. However the head nurse at this community was hard to understand. I did not think that would be a good situation for my love one. My tour went well, but this was not the right fit for my love one.

We like this community for my moyher's care. The community is alittle smaller and we found it to be a good fit for her care. the staff is very nice and attentive to her needs. The meals are appealing. They do offer her activities with the other residents. We would recommend the care and value to other families.

Loved this place. [Removed] and [Removed] are both helpful, knowledgeable and personable. Loved watching them interact with the residents. Saw several activities during my visit. Very homey.

Lake house is the top end of these kinds of places, very nice but many things offered my dad will never be able to use.
