We chose Legacy Living at Arlington because of the friendly staff, value for the money, and convenient location for us. I gave it a 3 because the facility closed, the owners came in, decided they did not want to do it anymore, and shut it down so we had to move out.

Loving group of people have worked together to help my loved one journey through her Alzheimer's. She has been happy and safe in this facility.
The entire staff at Legacy Living at Arlington, from the office, The Nurses, and the attendants, are committed to the care of my wife. I am kept informed of [name removed] situation and needs. They have been very thoughtful during this unique environment.
Legacy Living provides good care for my mother who is unable to tend to her personal needs. They listen when I have concerns and are willing to try ways to help enhance my mom's life. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The best thing about Legacy is [name removed], the activity director. She takes special interest in each resident and treats them with respect. I have witnessed the kind conversations she has with my mother when she did not know I was in the building. It is paramount that my mother be treated with respect, kindness and patience. I feel like she is getting that here at Legacy. I have had several good meals here with mom.

I looked at this place for my mother. The director and faculty were very friendly and nice. The facility was clean and well organized for activities for the occupants. The director was able to answer any questions that I had about the community. I would definitely recommend this facility as a memory care community.

We moved our mom there a few months ago and Legacy helped her with the transition to a new place. We are pleased with how they handled that with patience and kindness. The staff is dedicated to their residents and are prepared for all kinds of behavior. They do not freak out at any of my moms shenanagins. They have seen everything associated with this disease. The staff is cooperative with family requests and the special needs of my mom. All I have to do is call and they are willing to accommodate the family. The activity director is one of the strong points at Legacy. She is caring and enjoys her job to the max. I am grateful for Legacy. It gives us peace of mind.

My mother has been in this memory care center for 5 years. Whenever I visit, she is happy and tells me she doesn’t need or want for anything. She tells me the food is great ( and often offers to share with me). The staff is very protective of her and take care of her like she is their own mother! We feel very blessed to have found Legacy.

My dad was here for about a year before we moved him. He was always soaking wet with urine. The staff kept him up all day and would not let him lie down during the day. They have heavy staff turn over. Most of the staff have thick accents that I can't understand (how can memory care residents understand them if I can't?). They are very cold to the residents and have a poor bed-side manner. I've seen them laugh at confused residents and do not know how to redirect an Alzheimer's patient, yet they are a 100% memory care facility? The facility and ED are more concerned with income than the well-being of the residents and view them as dollar bills vs human beings. Do your homework before putting your loved one here. There are FAR better options in the surrounding area

It's very hard when you loved one has dementia to find the right place that will provide the right sort of care but this place does. We have been extremely pleased as to the care and services mom is getting. The staff is wonderful they are professional caring and compassionate. They interact with the residents which are wonderful to see and it is on both wings not just on one side. Mom seems to be enjoying the food. I would highly recommend this place.

Legacy Living at Arlington is good but it is 30 minutes from my house. I don't think that I would go and see my loved one very often if we put her in Legacy.

The Legacy Living at Arlington was a little older community. When i took my tour of the community i was in an area with other residents for a while they were watching a movie. One of the things that i didn't like was that they were alone for a while. I didn't really like this, i did express my concerns to the tour guide and he apologized. It was a clean place but, it didn't offer a home feeling.

My mother started showing signs of dementia when she turned 80. After my father passed she decided to try living alone, and that lasted about 5 months; we all knew it wouldn't be possible. So, my sister and I decided that since I was retired she would live with my husband and I. My mother was a wonderful person and I loved her dearly, but after two years I realized that I needed a plan B; it just wasn't working out the way either one of us thought it would with her living with me. I looked at several places, including nursing homes, and I just couldn't imagine my mom wanting to live in one. Mother told us for years that if one day she had to go somewhere, she wanted to be with people that had the same problems she had. As soon as I found (Arden Courts/Legacy Living), I knew it would be exactly what she needed. Everyone was friendly and it was only 15 minutes away from my home. When I took the tour, I realized I didn't have to worry about anything and that mother would love her new home. Mother lived at Arden Courts/Legacy Living for over 2 1/2 years and not once did she ever ask me to take her home. She had friends, and was treated very well. They have nurses on duty 7 days a week and everyone treated her as if she was a part of their family. She had her own room that I decorated like she wanted and I was able to visit her any day/any time I wanted. Oftentimes when I would visit, she would be with friends and tell me she was busy and I needed to come back later.

It's fine, so far. We have no major complaints at this point. She likes the food. It's clean, everyone is very friendly, very sweet to the residents. There haven't been any issues with laundry or anything really that I can think of. We are pretty happy with them, and it's working out well so far.

The staff at Arden Courts of Arlington is extremely friendly. The place is extremely clean and beautiful. I do think that they could give a little more personal attention to the residents. I think it is a perfect place for those who are independent, but my mom is pretty immobile and needs more 1x1 care and people checking up on her regularly and asking about specific needs. The billing also is a little touch and go when you get started...
