Magnolia Estates In Grand Prairie is an exception to most Assisted Living facilities I’ve visited. The suites are ample in size and bright in appearance. I love the fact that residents have private bathrooms and kitchenette areas inside their suites. Delicious meals are carefully planned and cooked by the staff. They are served in an inviting dining room/common area. (When visiting my sister, I’ve often been tempted to ask if I could stay for supper.) The staff pays close attention to residents’ dietary needs and their preferences. I appreciate the fact that the manager runs a tight ship, especially regarding health and safety issues. State guidelines regarding Covid restrictions have always been strictly observed, so I was never worried that my sister would contract the virus. For a cozy and personal living experience, I would recommend Magnolia Estates.

During our search for a community for our father, it was hard finding a place that addressed his needs for both assisted living and memory care. When we picked Magnolia Estates of Grand Prairie, it met those needs that also included large rooms and friendly staff to provide the personal care and security he needed. At first, the smaller size of the facility was a minor concern, but turned out to be a plus as it feels safer while also making it easier for staff to attend to his needs. Doors are secure and a staff member has to let you in and out. The staff is friendly and the manager is very attentive to our and our father's needs.

Team took great care of mom, showed her love and compassion, kept family updated on her health status, room kept clean, home cooked menu, mom was always dressed and clean, and encouraged to spend time outside of her room. I was pleased with the entire staff and would highly recommend Magnolia Estates for your loved one's care.

Our son has been a resident at Magnolia Estates for 14 years, and feels very much at home here. I have nothing but goods things to say about the ownership, management, and staff. It is a smaller facility than some, which enables the staff to provide not only first class care, but much more personalized care than many larger facilities can provide. The facility was recently renovated throughout and is now a very warm and inviting place to live. Your loved one would be very comfortable here.

Magnolia Estates is clean, caring, and I would recommend it. They could improve on maybe having more organized activities. They have activities now, but their focus is more on care, so they could benefit from more activities. It's a small facility, with about 16 residents. That's both the plus and negative of it. Again, they focus more on care, but that's likely the reason why they don't have the staff for organized activities. That's the trade off and it really depends on what's more important to you. More staff would equal higher costs; I don't consider it as negative, its a plus to me. Overall, I think they're doing okay.
