My husband was in need of a memory care facility. Brookdale Oak Hollow filled the bill. I liked that the entire focus was on memory care. The atmosphere was homey and the people delightful. It is very difficult to leave a loved one in other’s care. But…this facility and their staff have been caring toward him …and me!

My brother 's care and cleanliness of his room were severely neglected during the last few months of his stay. The nurses that Brookdale oak hollow hired were very harsh and mean. I believe they fired one of them. Brookdale is okay for those who are confined to wheelchairs. My brother was able-bodied at age 66 besides his severe memory loss so he was more of a challenge. I'm not sure. They gave him the medicine that was ordered. I told the director at Brookdale oak hollow that they need to get their act together when they sign people up and find out who has guardianship or conservatorship so they can't evict their patients without the family knowing. My brother was pulling the fire alarms at Brookdale and they were not able to stop that. So they sent me a certified letter in the mail without warning that they were evicting him even though he couldn't legally sign it because I am his conservator and guardian which they did not even know, they say. I remember telling them when I first signed him into Brookdale that I was his conservator and it even says it on the checks. So getting that certified letter in the mail that they had my brother sign was very disturbing to me and caused me a lot of anguish. Then they start threatening to get their legal team on me to move [name removed]

April 3, 2024We take your comments seriously and are committed to providing quality care and services to our residents and their families. Our management team has reviewed these concerns and we wish to assure you the safety and well-being of our residents is our top priority.
We have had such an amazing transition from another memory care facility to Brookedale Oak Hollow. The staff is loving and friendly, the activities are engaging and show a well-trained staff that understand the needs of memory care residents. The food is good, too!

I am grateful to have Brookdale Oak Hollow community walking with me and my family during this time with mom's care. You couldn't ask for a better management or staff who care and love their residents and the residents family like they do. These are hard times for everyone involved. Brookdale helps you make the transition a little bit easier.

I’ve had my Mother at Brookdale Oak Hallow for over a year and couldn’t be more pleased with how she is taken care of. Any concerns that I have ever had were address and corrected immediately. They also have a great staff who cares about the residents.

This facility is great and things are going very well. The staff are all very friendly and seem happy to work/be there. They really seem to know the residents and their families. We're real pleased with them. They have a lot of activities going on for the residents at this facility. Communication with the family is very good. Housekeeping does a good job. Every time we visit, it always smells and looks good. They have doctors that come into the facility and provide in house care, which is great. I would definitely recommend this facility to family and friends.

I have had a really really good experience with Brookdale Oak Hollow. It fit all of our needs, the location was perfect, and they worked with us on pricing. [name removed] the director is right on top of EVEYRTHING. Nothing happens in the facility that she doesn't know about. The staff communicate with families very well about what is going on with your loved ones. I would absolutely recommend them to others looking.

Brookdale Oak Hollow is like no facility of its kind! When our family had to make the difficult decision, we looked no further than this wonderful community! After visiting several facilities, we knew Brookdale was THE place! The staff is outstanding! They truly care and love the residents and their families!!! My sister and I are at peace knowing our parents are receiving exceptional care. This care extends to reading about events to gardening to singing hymns (which our mom adores.) Almost 3 years ago, hospice gave our mom 6 months to live and she is still enjoying living and playing in this community. We thought she would remain in bed, but the first day our mom arrived at Brookdale, the staff had her out of bed participating in activities. Every time we visit our parents, we leave thanking the Lord for the provision of Brookdale. You can't go wrong if you choose Brookdale Oak Hollow. This community is extra special and one of a kind!

This community was okay. My mom likes to walk and be outside a lot so the location is important when it comes to the community. The community also did not have the right feeling that I was looking for. It kind of felt like a nursing home. They gave us lots of information on the tours , it was a great tour but it was just not the right place for my loved one.
We chose Brookdale Oak Hollow because of the location and it is a dedicated memory care facility which was a big plus for us. They have shared and private rooms available She has a shared room and it is working out very well, she has her own private closet but shares a bathroom and living space. The administrative staff have been amazing, when we were getting mom moved in [name removed] answered all our questions and in a timely manner, she was easy to work with. I would absolutely recommend to others looking.

Spoke with [name removed], this place seems really really nice. ALL MEMORY CARE. They do allow smoking for an extra charge b/c cigarette needs to be locked up. Mom would need to ask for one and then a nurse would take her outside and light for her. This might be true at all places come to think of it, as they do not want residents to smoke in their rooms. Something to think of when making final decision. This place is ALL MEMORY CARE. Close to [name removed] work and our house.

Perfect Experience, Overall. Brookdale, Oak Hallow is one of the few Assisted Living facilities living to the true meaning of their mission statement. As an Administrator for many years in institutionalized living experience, it takes one with a heart to create the ambiance and care atmosphere that is prevalent at Oak Hallow. This is a testament when you speak with the residents and staff as well. This is indeed the definition of a home away from home; a place that I can put my loved ones anytime. Doing business with them is also a great experience. the facility is one that I recommend to anyone looking for a descent living place for long term care. Continue the great job.

Feb 2018 is when my loved one moved in. June 1, 2018 she went to another facility. It seems that if I list the problems we had at this facility my post will not show up. I do not recommend Brookdale Oak Hollow. Poor care, RN is just a decoy for "Wellness Coordinator" , RN"s are not allowed to help residents. If you ask them to call Home Health they forget to do that also. Be fore warned this facility is not meant for dementia residents. If you are looking for just Assisted living your loved one will do okay.

We are really pleased with the care they are providing for my mom at Brookdale Oak Hollow. It is a clean and well-kept community. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. They are very welcoming to our family when we come to visit. The staff is very friendly and attentive to my mom's care needs. I have good communication with the staff regarding any questions or concerns I have regarding my mom's well-being. I think the meals that they serve are good. They have a nice enclosed area for the residents to be able to get outside and enjoy the fresh air. I would recommend this community to others.

My loved one and I enjoyed visiting this Brookdale location! The staff was very friendly and the facility was quite clean. My primary concern was the fact that the facility looked rather old. It seemed a little depressing and outdated, which isn't quite what I wanted fro my loved one. Overall, this was a fairly good facility.

I did not schedule a tour with Brookdale and popped in to look at the community. I felt it could use more updating because the building looks tired. I was impressed with the care they offer. It was just difficult to get all my questions answered because they weren't expecting me.

A Place for Mom has scored Brookdale Oak Hollow 9.4 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score.
