Iris Memory Care of Edmond

Iris Memory Care has been such a blessing for us. We live out of state and our minds rest at ease because we have continuous and frequent communication with the staff. We text, email, and speak by phone with staff and we are very pleased with the response time. Our loved one is in good hands. Seeing her via FaceTime assures us that she is well cared for.

Our experience with Iris has been excellent. The staff is absolutely the best and truly love the people living there. They are committed and it is obvious they have a passion for older people especially those with Alzheimer’s. They engage with them and have continuous activities to keep the loved ones active, involved and loved. Those that are able go in activities outside. They have family events and they communicate well with the families. I highly recommend Iris to anyone that has a loved one with Alzheimer’s

They need to be more consistent with placing the correct clothes when returned from the laundry. Bedding the same. The staff would try but when we moved my friend's items once he passed, there were many items that were missing.

It's pretty good and the staff are friendly.

The ambiance of the atmosphere was to another degree.Loved the decor and how friendly the staff was.Very clean and plenty of parking unlike some places.You can feel the love as soon as you walked in….it felt more like a home than a community

When it became clear mom needed memory care I began a search for the best solution I could find. I had visited three places but they all seemed so cold and sterile I was not comfortable with them. My daughter suggested a place near her that had just opened. I felt such a relief when I talked to the marketing director at Iris and she showed us around. I knew right away Iris would be the best option for mom. The staff has been exceptional and I have had peace of mind when it comes to mom’s care. The staff care for the residents like their own family. The daily activities keep mom busy and interacting with the other residents. The numerous physical and mental activities along with the musical guests were the highlights of his final days. We fully appreciated the many memorable pictures and videos you posted of him via Facebook which we'll always cherish. I highly recommend your team to any family dealing with loved ones suffering from memory issues. Your team is awesome and caring!!!

My family began our search for a community Mom could call her home around August 2021. We wanted a place that was one story, had an open floor plan, staff that engaged with the residents and a home that had a comfortable feel to it. Upon touring IRIS, I immediately knew we had found a new home for mom. The staff was highly informative, answered all of my questions, the residents were happy, and the home was very clean. The IRIS staff continues to assist our family with daily updates, answering our evening phone calls to Mom and actively communicates ( both talking and listening) every time we visit. We love the Facebook activity updates and photos. Mom calls IRIS her Home Away from Home. She loves her private room and bathroom, enjoys the meals/snacks, likes that IRIS does her laundry, and loves going on the bus to the various activities. When we check Mom out of IRIS, her friends are always waiting for her to return with open arms, big smiles, and hugs. Thank you, IRIS!!

When searching for a memory care for my mother, I visited all the neighboring homes with memory care. My family and I thought we had an idea of what we wanted for her. That was until we visited Iris. D.D. gave us more education about our mother’s disease and type of care she needed than we have received in the last three years since my mom’s disease has progressed and she has had to be in a home. The things we thought we wanted for her were more for comfort for us, I believe… The staff was and is always attentive. They seem to really love all of the residents. Their knowledge of this disease and how to treat while letting their residents live in dignity, let me know she is in the best place. My mom is doing as well as she can with this disease. She seems so much more calmer and relaxed at Iris. She is full of smiles. I can’t recommend this place enough.

Placed my Mother at Iris Memory care a little over a month ago. We spent a lot of time searching different facilities and talking with families from other facilities. We were impressed with Iris from the first meeting and facility visit. The residents were doing activities and seemed happy. The facility was beautiful and cozy, clean with no unpleasant smells. They have met and exceeded my expectations on every level. My mother says “You don’t need to come up here everyday now, they take real good care of me and are so kind. I love my room they keep it so clean and the food here is real good.” Couldn’t ask for more than that!

We chose Iris Memory Care of Edmond because I was referred to them from others. I would give the staff above a 5 if I could, they are very invested in their residents and you can tell that they truly care. It has been an awesome experience and I would highly recommend to other families looking.

They have the most wonderful activities director here. It is a place to go when you need to place for your loved one. During COVID, they allowed me to see one hour a week. The location was good for us, as it was close to me. The buildings were well kept.

This community is wonderful. My sister and I comment regularly on how blessed we are to have found it. Everyone is so pleasant.

My Mom lived at Iris for two years until her recent passing. Everyone at Iris provided the best most compassionate care. Communication with the Director and Head Nurse was amazing. I was always able to reach them for any questions or concerns about my Mom or just to receive reassurance of how she was doing. The peace of mind they provided was priceless. During Covid when I was unable to see my Mom in person, I never worried about her care as I knew she was in the best hands. All the staff treated her like their own family member. I can not recommend Iris enough! Wonderful place, with amazing activities program as well and food that is GOOD! It really does feel as close to home as possible.

Iris took care of our mother. Iris provided the best care she has ever gotten. They truly loved her like family.
