Brookdale Lake View

Under the stewardship of CEO [name removed] a dedicated caring staff performs everyday miracles that makes this residence and community a place I proudly call home.

We will be living in Brookdale Lake View 6 years by [date removed]. We are both happy and enjoying all the activities, especially events celebrations. All management and associates are doing very good job especially our Executive Director - [name removed]. Brookdale Lake View has a friendly atmosphere. A shout out to all services afforded to us to be safe and healthy.

Living at Brookdale has been a positive experience for me. Several staff members have gone beyond their job description to be helpful in many ways, especially with electronics. That is one area in which I am somewhat challenged. I've appreciated how many of the residents and staff have helped me celebrate my birthdays in style - typically with some type of musical entertainment and refreshments. There are so many programs offered at Brookdale Lake View that sometimes it is difficult to make a decision as to which ones might be best for you. I have especially enjoyed the Arts Programming. Getting to know the other participants in the group a little better is a plus and our leader is a real encourager who always finds something good about our work. There are so many other programs and outings that are also very good. I recommend you really take the time to check out Brookdale Lake View.

My experience with staff who I interact with on a daily basis have been very helpful. They have also been encouraging and supportive of my developing and increasing my abilities to do more tasks myself, and in my abilities to walk with my walker instead of using the wheelchair. Other staff I've interacted with have been friendly and encouraging.

I've lived here 10 years and I was fortunate to have had my husband, a sister and a brother here at the same time. Have found the activities outstanding, the entertainment great, the food delicious, and the dining room like a fine restaurant. Unfortunately I'm the only one left. But the friendships I've made here are truly remarkable. The staff go out of their way to help us all. Example: Recently, my brother, [name removed] died. He was 101 years old. [Name removed] our Executive Director made sure I got to visit with him before he died for which I am filled with gratitude. There is outstanding service from every department including the concierge desk. Everything here is geared to help us live happy lives - and that is what we do.....

At 88 my mom moved to the city to be closer to me. For the last eight years has lived in Brookdale Lakeview (thanks to a Place for Mom) in a spacious one bedroom apartment. She selected the Brookdale Lakeview location because of the bright, airy entrance, the availability of apartments on low floors with treetop views, and the 151 bus stop at the corner. The bonus has been the wonderful, caring staff along with easy parking for me.

Housekeeping does not clean my mom's apt very well. They struggled with her nightly check in - I asked that they send someone to ask my mom what her evening blood sugar test was, then prompt her to respond if the number was too low. My. mom knows what to do, I just wanted a nightly reminder. They did not seem to understand this and so stopped coming Staff is friendly. Mom has residents who are friends now. Lots if interesting people living there. Food is good. Location is amazing.

[Name removed] was very personable and knowledgeable. We learned a lot from her. It has both independent and assisted living so you don't have to move to another location when you need more care. Very big nice looking place. Big rooms but a little higher priced than we wanted. Getting into the garage is a little weird. You have to get out of the car to press a bottom on an intercom and talk to someone to say who you need to see to get the door opened and get a limited assigned guest spot. If you can afford $2850 for a one bedroom it is a highly recommend place. Lot of services. A Place For Mom Senior Living Advisor [name removed] is a gem and so very awesome. I am so glad she helped us out so comprehensively.

Brookdale Lake View has been a very good experience so far for my brother-in-law. The staff in the community has been very helpful, and the rooms are very nice. My brother-in-law also says that the food is very good. He seems pleased with his care, so I would recommend Brookdale to others.

My brother had toured a few different communities before deciding on this one. The community is wonderful very clean and well maintained I don't live in the area but my brother visits quite often and he has never complained about anything. The staff if friendly and interacts with the residents well and each other. My dad is slowly starting to socialize and inter act with the other residents. He is liking the food. We would recommend this community

I toured this community for my mother, and her needs. The tour went well, and I did not have any problems. The community was nice, and clean. The staff was pleasant, and helpful. Everything went well, but this was not the community for my mother, and her needs.

I like the care at this community. We think that the staff is friendly and caring. The community is clean and they offer a lot of variety on the menu and the activities. We would recommend other families to tour this community for the care of a loved one.

Not totally accessible for wheelchairs

I like the homeliness of the place. Everyone-staff and residents-was friendly. The staff was very resident-oriented. There's a lot to do, but they don't push it, so my sister can work her way in. The census reflects the neighborhood, which will be good for her. They have a kiln; pottery was her minor in college. I can see her loving that.

I had a decent tour of this community. Everything went well for the most part. The community looked nice, and the staff was friendly. I just did not get a very cheerful vibe during my tour of the facility. The residents didn't appear happy to be there. My tour went well, but this was not the community for me.

When comparing between another community, they were not cheaper. It didn't seem comfy enough and they sold the apartment in a package price that was not going to work for us.

We had a nice tour of this community, everything went well overall. The community was clean, and everything looked nice. The staff was kind to my family, and myself. It was a good experience, but it was not the community for us overall.

Everything is going very well since my loved one moved into Brookdale Lake View. The lead guy there is very good. I would recommend this facility to anyone because we have had a very good experience with them so far.

The staff at Brookdale have been ok. They do offer daily activities and they keep the community clean. The food has been excellent and they offer a nice variety. We liked this community as it is in a good neighborhood for us.

I had very positive vibe about the environment at this community. All of the staff where very kind and all of the residents seemed to be happy and involved in many activities in different common areas. Everything was clean and very well maintained in the apartments which I thought was impressive. It just came down that this was not the right location for my mother.
