Brookdale Lake View

Employees of Lake View are great - friendly, hard workers. Nice clean apartment with a view of Lake Michigan. Chef prepared meals with a variety of choices. Met some nice people. There is a garage for my car ($[removed] per month fee). Weekly local and downtown transportation included with no additional fee. A Number of field trips offered each month. Many daily activities if you're interested. Only negative is that sometimes you have to wait a while for an elevator.

I would recommend the place.

I have only been here for a few months, but I like it here very much. The food is very good. I go to so many activities, always something to do here. Dining experience is so great, restaurant style. don’t have to get up.

I have lived at Brookdale Lakeview for just over a year and my experience has been largely positive. The residents and staff have been friendly and helpful. The activities have been interesting, entertaining, and helpful. I have benefited from the exercise l participated in. The information seminars have have been educational. The meals have been for the most part very good. I have gained weight, mainly because l eat too much ice cream. In some cases the service has been in need of improvement, especially at breakfast.

The staff are wonderful, they are always very helpful and going the extra mile to help you. The location is accessible to all parts of Chicago, including Michigan avenue, the lake, parks. I love living here.

I have lived here for 20 years! The staff are very friendly and very accommodating. The food is excellent and the chefs do a great job creating new meals. The activities and good and they try to reach people of all abilities.

The people that work here are great because they are always very helpful. The community is always clean and there is an ease of having everything you need. The view from my apartment overlooks Lake Michigan which I love.

Sent here [date removed] by family and friends and my doctor prior to 87th birthday and after an illness that left me as diagnosed severely malnourished and an auto accident that I barely escaped injury. In essence was lucky to be alive. The positive vibe of this new home brought me out of depression. Started to eat better with new friends who invited me to sit with them and began to gain back the weight I had lost. I found the nice long halls great for indoor walking and worked to get my step count back to 5000 a day preparing for outdoors in warmer weather.

Everyone is very friendly, especially the staff. Food is excellent, always very plentiful and very delicious. The housekeeping does a good job as well. My room meets all my needs and I enjoy the location being close to the lake.

I am pleased with living here. People pay attention to things I think, need, and do. Dining services are very good. The responsiveness of the managers is extremely well. They are timely and efficient.

The staff are all very kind and helpful. Anytime I have a problem or question they will do everything they can to assist me. I enjoy the activities and the variety of outings we go on each month. The dining services offer a variety of food options and the food is always very good.

Everyone is super friendly. I enjoy the activities like bingo and going on outings. The food is very good, there is a lot of variety. I can let the chefs know certain foods I would enjoy like Cuban sandwiches or shish-kabobs and they will add to the menu!

I found friends at Brookdale lake view that have similar interests as me. I like that Brookdale gives me a sense of independence and I can come go and go as a please. But if I ever needed anything they are always there when I need them.

Entire community is responsive, kind, helpful and friendly. Variety of foods that meet dietary needs. Maintenance staff is responsive and quicks any issues. Brookdale at home is able to meet specific individual needs. Leadership team that addresses challenging issues and keeps residents informed.

Overall a great experience at a reasonable cost. Location is excellent. Some improvements needed in break fast menu and services. Really excellent laundry service and housekeeping. Friendly staff & family environment.

Warm, friendly, and welcoming place to recover from the hospital and chemotherapy. Staff is very helpful . There are interesting programs and movies running every evening. There is also reliable connection to the internet.

Brookdale Lakeview has a full array of services and activities available to its residents under one roof, for which I’m grateful, but the thing that impressed me the most when I moved in (and still does to this day) is the friendly atmosphere. Both staff members and fellow residents have been caring and kind to me during my years here, making this a place I’m happy to call home.
