I love The Blake!! It's an excellent facility and my parents are adjusting nicely to living in their independent care cottage which is simply beautiful. Yes I would tell a friend.
The staff have always been very kind I just feel like they might not have enough coverage for the memory care unit. When you have patients that are wondering and trying to walk without assistance there just has to be enough coverage to make sure that everyone else is tended to. I go at different times and I really haven't seen any problems besides people wondering. They put a list of the activities up and they had an Easter bbq and we were not able to go due to being sick.
My experience here was very pleasurable. The staff were extremely kind and helped me to recover very well. I would come back in a second if needed and now consider these people my second family. Thank yall very much!

Nursing homes, also called skilled nursing facilities, provide long-term care for seniors with significant physical or mental health conditions, and short-term care to people recovering from an injury or hospital stay. Nursing homes provide personal assistance and medical care from licensed professionals. Services in skilled nursing facilities often include:
A nursing home facility offers lodging to two or more seniors who have no personal relation to the administrator. A nursing home facility offers its residents 24-hour care administered by registered nurses. These nurses offer healthcare services for those who are unable to adequately take care of their own needs.
Nursing homes are a convenient and easy living alternative for persons 65 years or older, however nursing homes will usually take in persons 55 and greater which is unusual for other senior care types.Nursing homes are required to provide medically-related social services, dietary services, nursing and related services, and specialized rehabilitative services (treatment for mental illness or intellectual disability) to residents. Some services come at an extra cost which can include special care services not included in the facility’s Medicaid payment, personal comfort items, and personal reading materials. A significant number of nursing home residents are persons who have mental or physical disabilities, experience difficulty with hearing and seeing, have incontinence issues, or require assistance with daily tasks such as bathing. As a resident of a nursing home, you can expect the right to form or participate in resident groups, spend time with visitors, get proper medical care, and have your representative notified about your care. Types of care services and amenitiesprovided at nursing homes might include skilled nursing or medical care, patient and caregiver education, wound care for pressure sores or a surgical wound, and personal care (including dressing, bathing, and toilet assistance).
