Who are you searching for?
If you’re considering moving your loved one into a Shelton nursing home, our senior living advisors can help. The term “nursing home” is often used interchangeably with assisted living or other senior housing options; but a nursing home is a skilled nursing facility for individuals with serious, debilitating short- or long-term health issues. So even the best nursing homes in Shelton, NC may not be right for seniors who don’t require round-the-clock care.
We can help you determine if a skilled nursing facility in Shelton or another care type is right for you. Browse 7 senior living options near you to see the variety available, or contact us to learn more about elderly homes in Shelton.

Types of care available in Shelton, NC
The staff at Brookdale Eden are very kind and I think the care is what you would expect with the staff ratios in long term care. I am an RN, so I do note small details that someone who is not may not notice. I am also more understanding of how incredibly difficult their job is. Communication is great. The food could be better. There is pepper on the trays, but no salt, no butter for bread or mashed potatoes that don't have gravy. Mom has trouble chewing and swallowing and some things on the trays she obviously can not eat. Some of the CNAs could use some in-service education on the aging process, though they mean well. I would recommend Brookdale Eden. I think it is the best available in this area.
This community has been very good, we have been so pleased with this community. The staff has done a very good job with taking care of the residents. When we first looked at this community we had only positive things to say about it. There were no fowl smells, everything looked very clean and well kept. It was hands down a good place for our loved one, and financially it was still in our ball park. As far as we know the activities are excellent but because of COVID we are not able to go in and see the residents. They can only come out of the their room for doctors appointments or to visit with their families for 30 minutes by appointment. However, they did have to stop that temporarily due to someone testing positive for COVID, but they have only had one person test positive at this community and they immediately quarantined them.
The staff is amazing very efficient trained memory care, I visit often and see how all residents are clean healthy well cared of. {name removed} has been the lead on medical care, meds, doctors orders and team leader for all staff. All staff is very efficient and professional . We are so thankful we found Brookdale Danville.
