I give them all a 5! This has been a wonderful experience and my mom LOVES living there! She loves the activities. This week a preschool class came to visit. My mom read a Pumpkin book and another resident helped them make pumpkin crafts. Every week they have Bible study, preaching, singing, games, special musicians, movie night, special snacks. She loves all of the special programs. She also loves sitting on the porch talking to the other residents or sitting in a common area working a puzzle. If she wants to be with people, all she needs to do is step out into a common area. If she's ready to be by herself and read a book, she returns to her apartment. It's absolutely the best of both worlds. The food is also good and offers a nice variety. It's very clean and nicely decorated. The staff is so friendly and helpful, always ready to give a hand. The cost is reasonable and there is no upfront investment. You simply pay month to month. Overall it's been a wonderful transition. Our family also has a peace of mind that she's being cared for.... Response from Commonwealth Senior Living at Stratford House
May 17, 2023Thank you for taking the time to share your kind words. We're so glad to hear you had a great experience with our community. Improving the lives of seniors, their families, and our associates is central to everything we do, so we truly value your feedback.
This place was very nice and clean. Did like the idea of independent Living section. Didn’t like the long hallways or the small steps up/down in several areas as we were walking. Would hate for someone moms age to forget they are there and fall. Director was very pleasant also.

This community has been very good, we have been so pleased with this community. The staff has done a very good job with taking care of the residents. When we first looked at this community we had only positive things to say about it. There were no fowl smells, everything looked very clean and well kept. It was hands down a good place for our loved one, and financially it was still in our ball park. As far as we know the activities are excellent but because of COVID we are not able to go in and see the residents. They can only come out of the their room for doctors appointments or to visit with their families for 30 minutes by appointment. However, they did have to stop that temporarily due to someone testing positive for COVID, but they have only had one person test positive at this community and they immediately quarantined them.

My mother finished her life at Stratford House. During her final two years there, she had no complaints. She loved the food, the help, the care, the grounds and her fellow residents. Thanks to all for an outstanding facility.
