They are friendly and helpful. I don't know about the food, even the basics seem like very poor execution. No flavor and overly salty, it even looks unappetizing. The activities never seem to change, just adding a little variety would be nice so that it appeals to a broader audience such as visits to museums or local libraries or historical places, etc.
Being out of state we do not get to visit that much, however when we do speak with our loved one she does seem to enjoy the meals and dining service. We do think the overall value for the money is good and based on our experience so far we would recommend the Parkshore Senior Campus to other families.
I think they do a great job at Meadow Woods! The staff here is very friendly and easy to work with. They've been very accommodating in regards to some billing issues we've had in regards to getting funding with the VA straightened out. The facility itself is well kept and clean, and they do a great job looking after the people who live here!

A nursing home is a complex that houses at least two persons who have no personal ties to the administrator. This type of complex offers its inhabitants around-the-clock care administered by registered nurses. These nurses provide healthcare services for seniors who cannot care for themselves due to their aging.
Nursing homes are a helpful and comfortable care option for persons 65 years or older, however nursing homes will admit individuals 55 and older (a rarity in the realm of senior care).Often times individuals may choose life in a nursing home over another type of facility due to a physical or mental impairment that makes it difficult for them to accomplish their lifestyle goals. Types of care services and amenitiesprovided at nursing homes might include help with legal questions, care coordination and case management, patient and caregiver education, and home care (like cooking, cleaning, or help with other daily activities). Many occupants of nursing homes may have behavioral troubles. These can consist of resisting care, verbal outbursts, or a tendency to wander. A large number of occupants are bachelors or widows who have circles of support, and about fifty percent of nursing home residents are over 85 years old. The most frequent mental disease experienced by residents of nursing homes is dementia, which can hinder their decision making abilities, and their sense of familiarity, and memory function.
