A beautiful facility with spacious rooms and nice amenities. My experience with Hollybrook is probably not typical, but during a very stressful 3 weeks, the staff stepped up and helped my family through a very difficult time. Shortly after moving into the assisted living, my dad was moved to memory care with hospice and died shortly thereafter. We are very grateful for everyone’s help during that time. There are two lovely, fully furnished guest suites that were made available to us. That said, weekend and holiday staffing is weak, but I always expected to be be hands-on and in the facility everyday. That is my only complaint. As absorbed as we were in our own little family drama, the other residents always seemed engaged and happy, well treated and well fed.
Mom spent 1.5 years in another facility prior to living at Bridlebrook. She lost weight, hated the food, and the Covid experience was terrible. She moved to Bridlebrook in October 2020 and has never been happier. The food is great and she’s never complained once. She loves the staff and her surroundings. Oh, and she has gained 25 lbs. Bridlebrook has still experienced Covid issues, but the staff has handled them professionally and with compassion. If your looking for a place for your parents or a friend, this is the place to be.
Overall I am satisfied with the community. They are willing to work with the family and the residence to meet the individual's needs. Communication is good between the staff and our family and they keep us well informed. I would recommend this community to others.

A nursing home is a complex that provides residence to two or more individuals who have no personal ties to the administrator. This type of residence offers its residents 24-hour care administered by on-site nurses. These caregivers provide specialized care for people who are unable to take care of themselves due to the effects of aging.
This type of community is a convenient and easy living choice for individuals 65 years or older, however nursing homes will usually admit persons 55 and older (a rarity in the world of senior care). There are some services that may come at a cost to residents which can include personal reading materials, special care services not included in the community’s Medicaid payment, and flowers and plants. Types of amenities and services provided at nursing homes can include skilled nursing or medical care, adult day health care (which offers nursing and therapy) , bill pay, and wound care for pressure sores or a surgical wound. Many occupants of nursing homes are persons with behavioral difficulties, which can consist of verbal outbursts, resisting assistance, or a tendency to wander. Nursing homes are required to provide specialized rehabilitative services (treatment for mental illness or intellectual disability), dietary services, emergency dental services, and nursing and related services to residents. Often times persons might prefer life in a nursing home over another type of community due to a mental or physical condition that makes it difficult for them to accomplish their standard of living.
