Evergreen Place Champaign

Mom has been relatively happy at Evergreen Place for the 2.5 yrs she’s been there. However, in the last 6 mos employees are leaving, meals have been cut from 2 to 1 entree choice, the “any time” menu has been slashed to 1/3 of what it was, meal time has been cut from 1.5 hrs to 1 hr and the quality of food is in decline. One of the 3 mgrs used to work on weekends, not any more. There used to be several RN’s, not any more. I felt that mom was safe there, I’m questioning if there was an emergency in the evening/overnight if there is anyone there to answer it. My understanding is that an RN from outside the facility can be called in. This is unacceptable. The staff that’s left are kind and do their best. My understanding is the new CEO of Heritage is cutting service, care, quality to make more money. I’m hoping the owner of the facility will take note and make some changes in management so Evergreen Place can return to the wonderful facility it was 2 yrs ago.

The people here are very helpful and kind. They are willing to pitch in wherever they are needed. When I first moved in the meals always I s had 2 choices. Now there is only 1 choice. They do have an alternative menue, but it is very limited. The apartments are spacious and comfortable. They offer TV service for only $30. You bring your own furniture. They do accept pets. Very few assisted living facilities do. The entertainment area does a very good job. They offer an exercise class every day and bingo every Friday as well as many other activities. They have rooms where families can gather. All the residents are very friendly and helpful

Sadly my sister had a heart attack after only 4 days at Evergreen Place and passed away. She and our family were very happy with the facility. It became the obvious local choice after visiting 4 separate assisted living centers during the discovery process. The staff was very pleasant and competent and the building seemed very functional, well designed, and tastefully decorated.

Our mother has been at Evergreen Place for almost 5 years. She is very comfortable and very happy there. The place is great and the staff is excellent. Since it is a smaller facility, everyone knows each other and the staff provides the best personal care. Thank you to all the Evergreen staff, we truly appreciate everything you do!

Evergreen is awesome! Has treated our mother like a member of their family. A wonderful place, safe, welcoming and caring! We have been so happy with the staff and accommodations. We’d recommend Evergreen to anyone looking for a great place to live.

Wonderful home atmosphere! Friendly staff and residents! Great activity program that provides true life enrichment! Delicious and nutritious meals! House cleaning and laundry services provided! Management treats residents like family which makes for a very loving and warm environment!

I would recommend Evergreen Place to anyone. I can't think of a single negative. It's an amazing place with amazing people. My loved one is happy and has never once asked to go back home, which I think is unusual after talking to my friends who have had experiences with their parents. They have a lot of activities, although my loved one is unable to participate. But they try to involve her in as many was as they can. I can't think of a better place for her. It has been a Godsend!

The staff are very attentive to our loved one and makes sure that she is eating and keeping her healthy. They are quick to respond to our loved one when she does press the call button for assistance. Based on our experience so far with Evergreen Place we would recommend the communities to others.

Every green Place was the perfect home for my mom. She lived there 3 years and we couldn’t be more thrilled with every aspect of a senior facility. The staff became our family immediately. They were loving, caring, compassionate, positive and made my mom feel like a million bucks. The facility is incredible!! We felt like Mom lived in a fancy resort. It is so beautiful, clean and updated. We loved all the special activities, exercise class and holiday celebrations offered to the residents. The food was amazing!!! My parents moved in fairly early after the new facility opened. The environment itself is so pretty and friendly. The size is manageable to get around, but large enough to support some great activities and good food. We have used the 2 large rooms for family get togethers and it had the feel of home. We are very happy with it! One of the only areas that I could see to improve would be to have more transportation available for residents to go to things other than medical appointments. Keep up the good work!

We have lived here for one and and a half years. We are very well satisfied--the staff is very friendly, helpful, courteous and knowledgeable. The food is superb and the amount of activities offered is endless. Highly recommend Evergreen Place.

From the minute you walk into the Villa, you are greeted with a warm welcome and friendly smiles. You can tell immediately that all the staff work together as a positive, caring team who are there to SERVE the residents and make it a place not just to live but to make the Villa feel like a home and community away from home. The facility is extremely clean, the rooms are bright and cheery, and the dining area looks like an upscale restaurant. The marketing director give us a tour and explained in detail the operation of the Villa and made the transition from a rehab-facility to the Villa a very easy and pleasurable experience. Besides the beautiful building inside and out, and all the activities it offers, we were most impressed by the welcoming staff. Would highly recommend!

I have nothing but positive comments to make concerning the care my father is receiving at the Villa. The staff is caring and professional. The facility is beautiful - clean! The director has encouraged communication between caregivers, residents and staff. Meals are great. My father is content and safe.

The Villla West has a kind, patient, caring staff!!! The change in upper management some time ago has meant a much more positive experience for both staff and residents. I appreciate how clean the living and shared community areas are and how pretty they make it for celebrations of the various holidays. It seems many communities like these struggle to provide really good dining experiences and the challenge is huge, w/ the variety of residents needs & preferences but I feel they are making honest and improving gains in this area and would venture to day that most people living here are happy with their offerings. I appreciate all they do to take care of our parents. I would choose to live here someday if and when I need it.

My grandpa has lived at the Villa for several years. Now that it is under new management, the atmosphere is always very positive. The common area was clean and well decorated and there are often residents gathers and chatting at tables. My grandpa's room is clean, and he's well taken care of by the staff. The food is okay, and they try to accommodate individual pretentious. Of the 4 assisted living facilities I've seen, this is hands down the best.

My father was one of the very first residents of the Villa when it opened its doors over 2 years ago. It has proven to be a "life-save" to my father and those of us who love him. The director, the CNA's, the certified nurses, the kitchen staff, the cleaning staff, the maintenance men, and the receptionist are exeptionally qualified_but, more importantly, they truly care!

Amazing community we have toured many over the years and never felt like home! The Villa has such loving and caring staff who welcome w/ open arms. I can finally sleep @ night knowing my mom is in good hands. Thank you

I love my apartment and my many friends this is a great place to live.

I drive from FL several times a year to visit my dear uncle who has lived in the Villa several years. I am so impressed w/ the grounds the cleanliness "homey" fell. The staff is do friendly and they really care about my uncle. I am always greeted warmly when I sign in and pass staff members in the halls or dining area. I have never heard residents spoken "down" to but always treated with respect. I could live there!!
