This facility is unique. Mid 2015 it was purchased by a new owner, who is also the Director and she has improved the Home dramatically, with fresh paint, new carpet and hardwoods. It is a smaller facility that has a very residential feel. The rooms are big, the staff are friendly, caring and attentive to the residents needs...and the price is more affordable than the more corporate facilities. I was happy to have my Father living in and being cared for at this facility.
My husband ended up at Dogwood Forest in Grayson. It was expensive but I would give it a 10+. The food is so important to the residents, the high light of their day. They have a 'real' chef there and I ate many meals there myself. So number one is meals. They also had awesome entertainment. Sometimes it was the staff other times outside people. They go above and beyond the standards. You should check it out yourself.
Terra Bella is a great place for my parents. My mother is in memory care and my dad is in independent living. I am pleased with the community and the directors. Of course every place is not perfect but they have a staff who is loving and concerned with the care of my parents.

Nursing homes provide personal assistance and medical care from licensed professionals. Services in skilled nursing facilities often include:
A nursing home is a community that houses at least two seniors who have no familial relation to the administrator. A nursing home community offers its occupants 24-hour care administered by on-site nurses. These caregivers offer care for people who are unable to take care of their own needs.
This type of community is a helpful and comfortable living alternative for individuals 65 years or older, however nursing homes will commonly accept individuals 55 and older (a rarity in the realm of senior care). Many residents of nursing homes might have behavioral troubles, which can consist of a tendency to wander, verbal outbursts, or resisting care. Nursing homes are required to provide emergency dental services, room and bed maintenance services, nursing and related services, and pharmaceutical services to residents. There are some services that may come at a cost to residents which can include specially prepared food, flowers and plants, and a private room, unless medically needed. Types of care services and amenities offered at nursing homes might include bill pay, social and recreational activities, home care (like cooking, cleaning, or help with other daily activities), and patient and caregiver education.
