I checked my husband in to Grace Healthcare, Tucker Ga. 00 on [date removed] , as I was leaving I was told"you can't see him for 2 weeks. He was there 31 days the most horrible month I have ever had in our 65years of marriage. Since I could not see him, I atttempted to call someone for information on how he was doing. Got receptionist, ask for S. wing, phone would ring 25 to 30 times then go to busy at least 98% of the time. The few times someone answered " the nurse is giving out meds. I will have her call you" Maybe 5 times in 31 days did I get a call back. Bought an ALEXA after 12 days, someone plugged it in the wall. I could SEE him and TALK to him. God answered the many prayers I had prayed. I watched him deteriorate over time, and there was nothing I could do. I received a call [dates removed] " Tellimg me they had 2 cases of the virus he had been tested. Two weeks before they would get report (sent to private lab.) " at approx. 12 A.M. on the [date removed]I was able to reach nurse. "[Name removed]'s test was negative." On [date removed] he called me in extreme pain I went to Grace and tried to get help for him. No luck. At approx 7 P.M. I saw him crying in pain and trying to get out of bed. They were holding him down. I herad him say " I AM DYING." He was taken to the hospital at Approx. 1:30 A.M He died a few hours later of the virus, double pneumonia, blood sugar of 40 (he was diabetic) and Oxygen deprivation. I made many attempts to get medical records to check on his treatment. I was finally given the records on [date removed] for the 1st time. I don't need now he is dead. He died alone.

This place is terrible . My dad was there 1 month and he died ! They will not return calls. They will not tell you anything . They are rude to family. The virus had the center on lock down . We could not see my dad . We bought him a cell phone, but he couldn’t open it. I bought an Echo show for his room one very kind person set it up for him. [Name removed] Thankyou. My mom ask for info on my dads care there they would not get her the info she ask for. My dad died. Please do not leave your loved one there. I work at a nursing home in a different town. I know none are perfect there are short comings everywhere ,but I believe this one is dangerous.

Awful Care. Aides don't answer call light. My family member wet or dirty on visits. Towels stuck under diaper, rather than change it. Medication left at bedside. Very bad place. Awful unhealthy over salted food.

My dad was terribly neglected in this place. I fought for him as hard as I knew how. I even reported the facility to the proper authorities, but nothing was done. It started out okay, but in year two old staff was quitting and inexperienced staff hired. I would come a find dad dirty, smelly, barefoot, and un-fed with his tray just sitting next to him. No one took the time to feed him. He lost weight, became dehydrated and died a few weeks later. I had them move him to St. Joseph's hospital but he had declined so much that they were unable to restore him to his former active, lively, happy self. If you love your family member, don't put them in Grace Hell-care.
