I can only comment about the memory unit. Those girls worked hard to maintain order and keep up. I thought to myself a few times that however much money they are making probably isn't enough. It takes a special person to that job.

I am very happy with the care that my mother is getting at this very nice and home feeling community. The staff is wonderful and very attentive. I like that the community is clean. <y mother is really liking the activities and she likes what is offered. We would highly recommend this small community for great care and value to other families.

I’m living here currently and it’s going really, really well. I’m very pleased. When I moved in, my apartment was perfect. I had new carpet and new paint and it was really a pleasure to be able to move in. I was on the waiting list for a few months but they were able to give me exactly what I wanted, including my own parking space in the underground garage. The staff is very helpful. The only issue I ever see is that maybe someone forgets to vacuum the elevator because it’s a high traffic area but the community room and the lobby is just beautiful and they decorate for every holiday. It makes you feel like you’re living in a house because of the decorating. They don’t serve food but they provide small full-sized kitchens in the apartments. They provide plenty of activities like bingo, card games, there’s a movie every Friday night, and they have special dinner events about once a month. The other residents so far have been very friendly and very welcoming. They’ve met all of my needs and expectations and I would recommend them.

Independent Living

Many seniors may be capable of living without assistance, but cost of owning a home might be a deterrent to living an independent lifestyle. Independent Living Communities offer a solid remedy to this situation. Basic needs such as meal planning and housekeeping are handled by staff and a calendar of recreational and social activities is maintained, allowing residents the autonomy to use their time as they see fit, free from daily responsibilities. Along with their daily needs being met, residents can enjoy the opportunity to be among peers, in a community with others of similar age groups and interests. Within the individual units, residents have access to a private living space and a full kitchen, and can even live with a companion if they choose. While policies vary between locations, many residences allow pets as well. If medical or nursing assistance is desired, residents may always enlist the services of private caregivers. There are a variety of expenditures and benefits to keep in mind when choosing an independent living community. It is important to determine if these amenities are covered in your care plan: private phone, parking, field trips, wellness program, laundry, meals, initial assessment fee, and internet access. The amenities that pertain to independent living include beauty salon & barber shop, fitness center & swimming pool, transportation, private rental hall, healthcare center, community activities, game/TV room, and concierge services.
