My Dad was there for such a short time we did not get very acquainted with the staff. Those we did interact with were very friendly and helpful.
I chose the community due to close to my home and the staff was welcoming. The cost was reasonable for my Dads needs now and in the future along with the cleanness.
My dad passed away in August. The Pines was wonderful to him. Very caring kind staff. They were always well staffed, we never felt like they were short handed. The staff really tries to grant all requests no matter how big or small. The public bathroom could be updated/repaired to have a more clean feel for guests.

For many seniors, cost of owning a home and the upkeep of the property might deter them from an independent lifestyle. Independent Living Communities provide a great remedy to this situation. Basic needs such as meal preparation and housekeeping are handled by staff and a calendar of recreational and social activities is provided, allowing residents the autonomy to use their time as they choose, free from daily responsibilities. Along with their daily needs being met, residents can enjoy the opportunity to live among peers, surrounded by others of similar age groups and interests. Residents’ quarters consist of a private living space with their own kitchen. The independence of apartment life is still enjoyed, offering opportunities to socialize with guests and visitors in a private and personal setting. While policies vary between communities, numerous residences allow cats and dogs as well. If medical or nursing assistance is desired, residents may always utilize the services of private caregivers. There are a variety of advantages and costs to keep in mind when deciding on an independent living community. It is important to learn if these amenities are covered in the plan: internet access, initial assessment fee, utilities, parking, field trips, move-in fee, private phone, and meals. The conveniences associated with independent living include beauty salon & barber shop, fitness center & swimming pool, restaurant-style dining hall, laundry service, golf course, community activities, game/TV room, and transportation.
