When the time came for Mom to move to an assisted living facility I was torn, green and unsure of what exactly to do. A place for Mom was recommended by the nurse in charge of her short term home assistance. From that point the Atria was one of the rcommendations. The staff is incredibly helpful and made the experience smooth and we felt more than comfortable with her moving in. They have kept and exceeded those standards. They have a wide range of fullfilling Activities for the Residents. They have special guest come by, special Holiday functions and engage the relatives of those in their care.

I was very pleased with the level of service, wide variety of activities, upkeep of the overall facility and the respite room, and attention to individual residents. The only drawback is that they do not accept vouchers from our county's caregiver respite program.

My loved one is currently a resident at Atria Forest Lake. We chose the Atria for many reasons. The staff is incredible and they truly care about the residents and their well being. It feels like your are "at home" there. The food is wonderful! The Chefs and staff are as caring as the rest of the people working there. They bring in support staff for entertainment, Bible study, and other activities. I would absolutely recommend the Atria Forest Lake to other families.

The staff at Atria Forest Lake is extremely friendly and involved, and the food is great. It does not feel like a nursing home. Small staff to patient ratio is a plus.

They are good at listening to concerns and finding solutions. We picked this community, because it was closer to where I lived, smaller than other facilites, and recommended by a lot of people at church. I would recommend to other families.

They are kind and caring. The facility is clean and well run. They can improve on communication with the responsible party for the resident.

Atria was nice but didn't have a protected front entrance and they did not specialize in memory care. It looked more like a locked mental facility. I'm a nurse so I've seen one. It was very depressing. The assisted living part looked great, and wasn't locked but we didn't need that.
My mother has been at the Atria for several years and it has been a great experience. It is a small facility and the staff all know my mother by name. They are always willing to try to accommodate special requests and tailor her care to her needs. Unfortunately my mother doesn’t participate in many activities but the staff is always coming up with ways to engage the residents.

Everyone at this place is very nice. WE have a lot of fun with activities. A lot of the help has been here a very long time. Been here for 2 months now. The food is pretty good.
I have found staff to be friendly, professional and caring above all else. The activities program, headed by [name removed] is fun, and is all in. She's fun, creative, always smiling, and is great at her job. [name removed] at the front desk is jack of all trades and master of all. She gets your questions answered and assists whenever she can. She's always pleasant and very professional. I love this place and would recommend it to anyone looking for care for their loved one.
I absolutely love living at Atria. i was living alone during the start of the pandemic. Here it is wonderful to be around people, exercising and eating. Great back yard. Also, a group has gotten together and we play UNO. Great place.
As a provider that visits numerous assisted living facilities, Atria by far has the most activities and interaction with residents. The residents are treated with respect and encouraged to engage, not as individuals who are just there to live out their last days. As a provider I recommend Atria, and if I had family in need of an assisted living facility I would be happy to send them to Atria.

The Atria provides a comfortable and safe setting for my loved one. The activities director does a nice job keeping things fresh and she really gets into decorating the environment to make activities enjoyable. The residents seem to enjoy the occasional outings to get ice cream, food, and shopping. I do wish there could be activities structured to those who have the capacity and desire to do more than just crafts. This facility is a bit more dated and not as spacious as many of the newer communities and not nearly as many amenities for residents to partake in, but overall it’s a nice place.

I work in the Senior Community and would refer anyone to Atria. They have some staff that has been there 10 years! It’s a great place and everyone’s so welcoming and friendly. It’s like home away from home!

A Place for Mom has scored Forest Lake Manor 9.4 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
