Palmettos of Parklane

After visiting several places in the Columbia area, I made the decision to place my dear friend at The Palmettos. That was in March 2020. Two and a half years later, I am still confident that I made the right decision!! From top to bottom, the staff is caring and truly wants the best for the residents. They are quick to call with any changes and/or concerns which gives me great peace of mind!

I have people I care about at The Palmettos. I have found the care to be good. In any facility there will be times , like in your own family, when there is a problem or something goes wrong. But for me, when this is the case, I find the management gets on the problem immediately. I have watched staff help and care about residents with gentleness and kindness. I have been to many other assisted living facilities in the area and I find this to be among the best. The job is hard and the pay in no way matches the work load. I couldn't do it! And also, the people who do the activities are wonderful. They plan great things. Not every activity will be for everyone, but they try to be diverse and are willing to take suggestions! I have had several meals there and functions where they serve food. I have not had a bad meal. Again, you can't please everyone and cooking for so many people with different desires is difficult. But I like the food! I like The Palmettos!!

Wonderful facility and caring staff

This place I wouldn't dare anyone to place they're loved ones residents are dropping dead by 3s poor management poor staff director [name removed] need to find a new hobby nurse [name removed] is just a lost soul looking as she need a hug take everything as a joke I'll say get your family out for they take them out staff is just rude as can be fire everyone and start anew starting from the director in down. I seen a resident choking staff tried to save her but just stopped and let the lady die right there one staff was still patting her back crying trying to get it out her throat and other staff just stood there ..as soon as I can I'm moving mother quickly ...... horrible place

The place has really gone down hill. the food is really disgusting. My mom lived here and i would not recommend this place to nobody. I can also hear sean cussing in the kitchen all the time. [Removed] or nobody does anything about it. Everytime i come in there and visited my mom there is always new people in there i wonder why.. its just not how it used to be smh. i moved her out of there asap.

The food is definitely terrible. [Removed] is not a good Cook at all i can here him in the kitchen cussing and yelling not good at all i had to take my mother out of there asap.. def expensive for what you get. i wouldn't recommend this place to nobody. [Removed] is never there.. I also cannot believe [Removed] would let [Removed] yell and cuss to his employees or just be rude and nasty to residents/ guests.. i will be contacting corporate very soon this is not acceptable what so ever.

Amazing! We loved the Palmettos and know it would be the perfect fit for my mother! We do hope to move her there one day soon!!! Kristen gave us a wonderful tour and told us about every aspect of their facility!!! 5 stars for sure!!

We toured this community when we were looking into care options for a loved one. This seemed like a very nice place overall, and was definitely somewhere we were considering as an option. It was clean and well kept, and the staff we spoke with were all friendly and helpful.

The only reason she isn't there now is that she just can't afford it. I really liked the staff, I felt really comfortable with the nursing staff here. They would get a ten if that was an option. Rooms are really nice modern. Just a great place! We just did a short respite stay, but it was a great stay!
