The Trace Senior Community in Covington, LA
4.4

During the few months our loved one has been there, the feedback we have heard about the meals is that they are great. The activities are back to normal the residents are able to go on outings again. The staff members would be higher than 5 stars they are so friendly. We were just amazed in the beginning at the size of the apartments. Our loved one was able to take all of his furniture and there is still space leftover.

Azalea Estates of Slidell
5.0

This is a nice community and the staff is outstanding and very caring to his needs. The menu is appealing, and he has liked most of the meals that are offered. They do offer a lot of great activities for him to participate. They should concern and they take him to doctor's appointments. We would highly recommend this community for the good care and value for other families.

They're very friendly and easy to talk to and bounce ideas off of. With any questions you have, they're very approachable. I felt like they did everything they could do regarding my loved one's care. I loved the facility - its beautiful, pleasing to the eye, and I liked the layout. It's just a great place.

Mandeville, Louisiana

Independent Living

Many seniors may be physically and mentally capable of living without assistance, but the burden of home ownership and the maintenance of daily tasks and chores might be a deterrent to living an independent lifestyle. Independent Living Communities offer a great remedy. Meals, leisure activities and housekeeping duties are taken care of for you while you are unrestricted to use your time as you prefer. Along with their daily needs being met, residents can enjoy the opportunity to be among peers, surrounded by others of similar ages and interests. Within the individual units, residents have access to their own private living space and a full kitchen, and can even live with a partner if they choose. While policies vary between communities, many residences allow cats and dogs as well. If medical or nursing assistance is desired, residents may always utilize the services of independent care providers. There are a number of costs and benefits to keep in mind while determining an independent living community. It is important to determine if these amenities are covered in the care plan: initial assessment fee, transportation, private phone, utilities, internet access, meals, parking, and field trips. The luxuries associated with independent living include laundry service, golf course, community activities, healthcare center, game/TV room, transportation, restaurant-style dining hall, and private rental hall.
