Since mom still pretty independent she is getting along great. They have been real nice. They helped her a little more at the assisted living so she was a little spoiled. Food is good. Clean They don't have my ch control but definitely could use a couple more aids, and maybe a kitchen helper. I would definitely recommend.

Complete guide to independent living

Moline, Illinois

Independent Living

Many seniors may be capable of living without assistance, but cost of owning a home and the upkeep of daily tasks and chores might be a deterrent to living an independent lifestyle. Independent Living Communities provide a good remedy to this situation. Basic needs such as meal preparation and housekeeping are handled by staff and a calendar of recreational and social activities is provided, allowing residents an opportunity to use their time as they choose, free from daily obligations. Along with their daily needs being met, residents can enjoy an opportunity to live among peers, in a community with others of similar age groups and backgrounds. Typically comprised of a private living space and a full kitchen, these communities offer homes with many of the amenities of apartment life but with none of the hassle. Guests can be invited over and entertained, and there will be more time to spend with them with the basic maintenance of daily tasks out of the way. While policies differ between locations, numerous residences allow cats and dogs as well. If medical or nursing support is desired, residents may always enlist the services of private care providers. There are an assortment of expenditures and benefits to consider while deciding on an independent living community. It is important to figure out if these services are covered in the service plan: parking, wellness program, Waiting list deposit, initial assessment fee, housekeeping, utilities, field trips, and move-in fee. The benefits and amenities associated with independent living include healthcare center, community activities, beauty salon & barber shop, private rental hall, laundry service, fitness center & swimming pool, game/TV room, and restaurant-style dining hall.
