My parents had dramatic and sudden changes in their health which took us from needing assisted living sometime in the future to having to figure things quickly. I knew as soon as I visited that it was the place for them. The staff made sure things went as smoothly as possible and have done a fantastic job of providing care for both of their needs.... Place has gone down hill the last 2 years mostly from poor management and inability to keep the place staffed. Said they were going to remodel 2 years ago but facility is in disrepair with broken A/C, ceiling leaking water on the 2nd floor, dirty windows, paint peeling and scuffed along the walls. You can find a much nicer place for the money they charge. Don’t let the name change fool you, it’s the same inept leaders running the place.

We had a really good tour experience with Bickford at Mission Springs. The only issue was the cost was higher than some others we saw and I had a few concerns about the facility itself.
We had a fabulous tour with Bickford at Mission Springs. The staff were more than willing to talk and did not make us feel like we were taking up their time. The facility itself is nice, clean, and well decorated. It is very inviting. It is more of a long term care facility and I think that they can work with you on Medicaid. This will be the next place we look into.
while my loved one only stayed at Bickford for a short time, we thought it was excellent. the only negative feedback i have, is that i often had to go in behind the housekeeper with my own cleaning methods and supplies; their cleaning job just wasn't up to standard. aside from that my loved one really enjoyed living here and if i had to do it all again i would choose this community!

The tour guide was great but the community was not what we were looking for for our loved one.
It is a very clean, and beautiful space. It is a safe environment with alarms and security measures. It has spacious apartments for the residents. They have friendly and attentive staff. There have been some staffing issues due to COVID. They hired a new chef and the food seems to be improving.

This is an assisted living community so your loved one needs to be more independent due to the lack of medical staff. The community is kept very neat and clean and the staff was very friendly and they were very accommodating. The food is good and they have lots of activities going

In the assisted living section, I don't feel like my loved one had enough eyes on her. We had a bad experience with falls. I would not recommend the assisted living unless you are totally ambulatory. I didn't realize there was no nurse there in the evenings or at night. There's too much neglect going on there in the evenings and at night. I just want others to know that upfront, because I didn't. It's been difficult with Covid going on, but form what I could see the dining room was clean, but the resident rooms were not at all.

The community is privately owned and the thing that made me know this was the place was the staff's tenure. I would definitely recommend this community to others. The staff is very friendly and do a great job.

I have two relatives that live there. They have two different sets of needs. They are caring for both successfully. They take a personal interest in the residents. The room sizes and the layout of the community are excellent. I have been please with their response during Covid-19. They have communicated well with families every step of the way. I am so glad I called A Place for Mom, they were so helpful.

I’m deeply concerned about Raytown senior living some of the staff are rude to the elderly and I’ve witnessed this. House keeping terrible. And cats in dining area. I’m hurt because the nurse was fired. I’m a black woman and she’s not racist.i reported things to management but I’m sure it’s somebody’s job to clean his office and the guest bathrooms. I wish I was at the meeting. This was not a good move. I guess it’s better to remove one employee instead of the ones who don’t do their job. Bickford is a beautiful place. If employees would do their jobs. I think placing cameras in the dining area would be helpful. I toured this facility for 6 months before I moved my parent. The staff I met Day and evening are gone. Hopefully things will improve!

Spent more time trying to look like they cared for the resident then they actually did. The staff all carried their phones. One time I went to ask a question and the man wouldn't even look up at me until he stopped reading his text. Needed to forget the table clothes and just clean up the tables, they were always sticky after they removed the wrinkled table clothes! Should use disinfectant when washing the clothing. The detergent dispencer is a joke. This is not the staffs fault! However, I found a child's bikin swim suit top attached to my family members laundry. I felt like the night shift staff must be bringing in their laundry from home. When my parent had a infection they didn't make time to even get the required urin sample by the DR.... after a week ,we had to get it our selves and then give it to the staff. When riding in the elevator you seem to look down and the area around the doors was alway filled with dirt and grim. It needes to be vacuumed and wiped out on a regular bases. We saw a staff member pick up a patient buy holding on to their underpants! Appalling! Saw many, many people fall and they acted like that wasn't a big deal. They would lay them on the floor and acted like that was o and normal. Some of the staff seemed nice but they need more training and accountability.

[Name removed] is quite a tour director. He gave 1+ hours to me. He showed me the whole community. He explained all options, pricing and amenities. The entire staff was so friendly. A number 1 choice. I go tomorrow to the Raytown location of Bickford, much closer to family. thanks

We can not say enough good things about this community. My mother is doing great, and I'am very pleased with everything they have done for our family. We finally get to be my mothers family avian, and not her care givers. This is a fantastic community with amazing people. The staff is amazing. They are very attentive towards my mother, and her needs. Also very quick to respond to any concerns we may have. The community is very well-kept, they do a great job with the cleanliness. There are nice activities activities offered, and good meals provided. It has been an phenomenal experience, and I would highly recommend this community.

They do a good job with the cleanliness around the facility. They provide good meals, and nice activities for the residents. Everything has worked out well for my grandmother with her move to this facility.

When touring the community they thought they were not able to handle my dad's care based on his previous community experience. The staff did not want to try to give him shot that would help his behavior. They were not a suitable fit.

I'am pleased with my fathers move to this community. It is a nice community with a great staff. They are very patient, and caring. I know he is in good hands at this facility. When I come to visit the community looks good, they do a good job with the cleanliness. They do provide well balanced meals. There are nice activities offered for the residents, and they have nice day trips outside the community. My father is enjoying his time here, and I would recommend this community.
