I would recommend you look at the community for your loved one. The staff to resident ratio is good. They have transportation to doctor appointments. This is a newer community. The physical community is awesome. They have mass often including rosary. The staff are very nice. They don't have skilled nursing or a nursing home. They have an RN on site. It is a quiet community as well. The medication management, oxygen monitoring, hygiene and bathing assistance are some of the care the community is able to provide. There are two bills the rent bill and the care bill each month. The laundry, housekeeping, apartment, changing of linens, utilities, transportation, and all the meals are included in the rent fee each month.... Read more

This was a good community for your loved one. I liked everything about it but one thing. I did not like the medicine distribution process. Everything else about this community was good to go and I have recommended it to others. They had activities like arts and crafts and holiday activities, games and more for the residents to do to stay busy in the community.

We felt this facility did not offer as much independence as my parents were looking for. It was also higher priced.

October 7, 2021Dear Anonymous, thank you for your feedback. We also want to be five stars in everyone's book and we love to learn how we can be five stars in your opinion. Can you please call me, the Executive Director, and discuss with me how we can meet your needs? Our number is 816-846-0870. Thanks and have a blessed day!
My only regret is that I didn't do it last year! It was scary to make the move, but it was the best thing I ever could have done. Not only did I change everything in my life, but I landed in a good place. I like my apartment. It's open and airy, with panoramic windows and a view of the city. What I envisioned for most retirement centers was little box rooms with one window somewhere. This is totally not like that. I have floor-to-ceiling windows, which makes it feel even more open. The people are so nice here. When I get packages, they bring them up to me. Anything I want or need, I can get it taken care of here. I'm really getting spoiled! They have a restaurant that's fabulous. It's a regular restaurant with a full menu and daily specials. I can bring guests in if I want. They serve fried green tomatoes, and the first meal I had here was lamb chops, which were fabulous. They offer a lot of activities. It's a little pricey, but you get what you pay for. It would be nice if it was more in line with what my mortgage payment was, but they offer a lot more services and do a lot more for you. They check on you daily, and I feel safe and very well cared for here.

They're very friendly here, and keep things very clean. They have lots of activities. My favorites are dominos and cards. I've been having my food delivered to my apartment, and sometimes it's messed up. It just doesn't look as good as if you had the plate handed to you in the dining room. It looks small in the containers. But if you're able to go down to the dining room, it's excellent.

Response from St. Anthony's Senior Living
March 25, 2021Thank you for your review. COVID has passed and we are open with visitors coming in to see their loved ones, enjoy Mass and dinner together. It is a joy to be able to offer this to our residents!
My mother lives here and I cannot say enough wonderful things! The attention given to her and concern about her well being are more than outstanding. St. Anthony's is Covid-19 free. The food is so fresh and very flavorful. The staff really go out of their way to make sure everything is perfect! We are not Catholic, but they have regular mass for those who are and they love all faiths! The underground parking is definitely a plus, and the entire community (Independent Living/Assisted Living/Memory Care) is completely gated. They have a variety of fun activities (Octoberfest anyone?) that encourages mom to stay active and social.

March 25, 2021Thank you for your review, Gina! We plan on many more Oktoberfests to come!
The tour was great. The tour guide was very friendly, and informative. She answered all of our questions and made a good case for choosing St Anthony's. We would still like to visit a few more places before making a decision. You have set the bar very high.
